This app seems to have a comedy algorithm, I asked for "A fisherman casting towards a trout jumping out of a river ", in all cases the fisherman was using the rod in a way that nobody that had every fished would do, sometimes with more than 2 rods, whilst doing some kind of yoga, and the fish was doing weird stuff in most cases. I gave up after about 10 tries. I might need more than 20 coins ;)

Like some others it doesn't work for me with my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, I used to use this hack on former version of Solidworks it worked perfectly with solidworks 2020 but not this time with 2024... Too bad, any ideas on how to make this damn thing work? 😢
@DraftID10 күн бұрын
Seems there are still some cases where it doesnt work such as your own. Sorry it didnt help :(
@fabbegood864410 күн бұрын
@@DraftID I've found the solution, it's so simple and obvious that I thought I was really stupid not to think of it! First of all do the registry database trick as you've explained. Then lauch solidworks, Realview is activated but the graphics are still the same, you just have to go to the the ‘tools’ menu, then ‘options’, then in ‘Performance’ tick ‘improved graphics performance’, then close Solidworks and restart and.... And that's it!
@fabbegood864410 күн бұрын
I answer myself... Unfortunately, this doesn't work permanently... I mean that, once you quit Solidworks the Realview is again not viewable (still active but doesn't show nothing), you have to do the "tools" -> "options"-> etc procedure... It seems that you have to do it EACH TIME you open Solidworks... So this is still a work in progress, sorry...
@DraftID9 күн бұрын
@@fabbegood8644 good discovery though! At least in most cases you only need real view if you want a semi rendered export so having to flick it on when needed probably won’t be that often anyway.

So I really want to grab this printer, but I see it's only rated for a layer height of 0.1mm. I was really hoping for 0.05mm when I print small items that need good detail. Is there a way to make it print at 0.05mm?

In creality print I just tried putting in a manual layer height and it seems to accept 0.08 but nothing lower. Im not sure if it will actually print at that height though but seems to be ok with it when entered.

Great video. Thank you for making it. I ran across your video while trying to do further troubleshooting as my extruder is still doing the same thing as before. Initially I had a hotend and an extruder clog but neither were anything terrible. Disassembly and fidling around with those tiny cables was a real mother but I got it taken care of. During reassembly I noticed I was missing the little "tensioining screw" that goes inside the spring. Without it the pieces and parts just flop around. I was able to print a replacement piece for it so I now have that installed. From what I can tell I have done exactly as you say in your video however, I'm still having the same problem where the filament gets to the gears and the gears just spin but never grab onto the filament. I notice you fully tighten the spring which I have also done. I'm curious, when it's all put back together how freely should the yellow gear spin if I try to do it by hand. I imagine slight resistance which is about where I am. How tight should the four screws in the back be? I may have them too tight which would be sandwhiching it too much. That's really the only two things I can come up with. I have an X1C with an AMS purchased in October 2024. I also put in a brand new .06mm hardened steel complete hotend kit today so there's no way my stuff is still clogged yet it's still doing the exact same thing. Any advice you might be able to offer up would be so appreciated. Sorry so wordy...think I'm gonna copy/paste this over to Reddit too. Thanks so much for your insight and expertise. I'm happy to now be a subscriber.
@DraftID16 күн бұрын
In the making of this video I actually had a very similar issue. I had replaced the complete hotend extruder assembly and I still had the filament not grabbing. I made the video anyway and it seemed to fix it the following time for whatever reason. I'm not entirely sure what fixed it though. As for the gear spinning, from memory it spins quite freely, so maybe instead of over tightening, try backing off so it doesnt have any resistance. I also feel like the filament I was using which was all quite old was giving the issue too. Newer rolls did not have problem grabbing. I hope you find a fix to yours, fb groups and reddit will be good sources. Sorry Im not the greatest help though but thank you for subscribing and watching :)
@ibashyougood5 күн бұрын
@@DraftIDthe reson that no one mentioning is the back lid of the extruder, You can’t just screw it down sins it then pinch the gears to much. You need to put thread lock on the screws, then gently screw them down until you feel the slightest resistance. Let the thread lock set and dry. Then stick a piece of filament in the top, start tightening the screws that tightens the spring while pushing and pulling the filament true, I also put a finger on the gear to lock it while pulling the filament back to make sure it can’t easily slip. When thats done mark the hight of the screw with a white marker, screw it out some more. Add some thread lock screw it back to the marked position and let it set. Then install it in the machine. I use a small amount of lubricant on the big gear, if thats correct or not I don’t know sins bambu lab shows one thing in instruction video and another thing in there wiki gear instructions! Hope this helps! I get perfect feeding every time after cleaning the gears and I still run original x1c gears with more than 1500h of print!

@DraftIDАй бұрын
Thanks for watching! Bambu labs are top of the market right now, they might cost a little more in some cases but for what you get it’s worth it. They have a level of refinement no one else is close to. Creality have been in the business for a long time and have great products to but often require more tinkering when things go wrong or you want to push them further. The Bambu A1 is really the bench mark right now, but for larger prints the creality v3 plus could be the better option. For print setting the defaults usually the way to go and as you learn you will know what to edit and change. Maybe one day I’ll do a video on print settings :)
