I was taught that you have to wrap a crack nail. Gel or acrylic over will only keep cracking. Fiberglass or linen bandage then the overlay. No more cracking.

They look so much better afterwards. After a reaction from my gell, I noticed the skin of my nail beds getting thicker and my nails starting to go up. The free edge had lifted half way so I cut all of the free edge off and have been fileing the skin of my nail beds down for 2 days so far. They look horrible and hurt right now, but I'm hoping that they heal back normally. Here's hoping 🕊️🕊️🕊️

I have been dealing with nail fungus in my big toe for 40 years. The nail came off about three years ago and it grew back misshapen and rough. It recently got to be almost a quarter inch thick and was only partially attached at the bottom. Last night I cut it back to near the base and took a Dremel tool and reduced the thickness. I wasn't sure how far l could get close to the underlying skin. So l stopped. I also saw a doctor's video that said he cured his toenail fungus using a 50/50 mix of bleach and water. I am trying that now.

What caused the skin to build up on the nail bed under the nail? My nails started doing this quickly a couple of weeks ago. A new brand of gel is causing this growth along with pain and itching and itching 😭

i bought the Dremel Nail Grinder it has like 9 different attachments…you have to research so you learn how to grind them down..the machine spins in both directions ..i’m still researching little by little .

I have a customer that’s pregnant and her nails lift all the time while other customers don’t have this problem and me myself I’m pregnant too now and I’m having issues with lifting too while I’d never had this problem before. Is there a different way to keep gels on while pregnant? An extra step?

Oh nooo! Never, Never cut the proximal nail fold! That’s living skin! By pushing back gently regularly, good quality nail oils, and they will shrink back naturally. The removal of this living skin leaves you open to serious infection , which can include irreversible nail damage. I speak from experience. Also, once you start removing that, it keeps coming back, many times thicker because it’s trying to heal from trauma. Good and beautiful nails don’t need all that work, just common sense….
