Dude I found this game at a thrift shop for p.c a long ass time ago, and could not remember the fuckin name of game but remembered the pandemic intro.... I use to use that weird battle editor mode to spawn all the vehicles and towers and defenses and shit this game was so fun lol and unique

Some of the fondest memories of I have of getting into the gaming world are of playing this game...their was just a level of satisfaction and enjoyment that I find difficult to find now. At least when it comes to games with this kind of style.

I remember using a full team of Mjölnirs to back up my team, raining hellfire on everything... good times... lets hope someone leaks the source code so that the game can be salvaged, since Trion aren't doing anything with the IP

As a BZ1 & BZ2 player a big part of the allure of BZ2 was the updated graphics. However a lot of things changed between the two and BZ1 was actually more popular during BZ2's launch. Ultimately though BZ1 & BZ2 were considered two separate games by a majority of the community and the community splintered between the two. It's difficult to say one is globally preferred more over the other. I believe both still have active communities.

+Der Crysis Battlezone 2 definitely has/had a more active modding community and up til the release of Battlezone 1's version 1.5 update in 2011, Battlezone 2 was far more stable on modern operating systems.

Der Crysis Old comment but personal preference for BZ2 comes from childhood memories. BZ1 just had a harder control sceme and didn't look as 'cool' in the eyes of young me. I hold to that opinion today to be honest. I think it is a more fluid game.

been doing it for almost 2 years now, haha, BZ2 was my first ever RTS, if you consider it one, but i find eve almost more fun compared to this, thats if you get far enough in eve where you can do awesome stuff

Unfortunately, but that is not to say someone couldn't buy the rights and start work on importing it. I don't know..wishful thinking...but there are a lot of old games I'd love to be able to play on our newer systems.

This brings back so many memories! I loved it even though I was clearly to young (maybe 5-6?) and I barely understood the mechanics in custom-mode (or whatever they called it). The campaign was fun though.

A year ago they changed the great RTS that it was into a MOBA... Petroglyph wanted nothing to do with it and when the beta players all demanded that Trion turned the game back into a RTS Trion said "Screw it, no more End of Nations"

Use a game emulator or run in compatibility mode. Most new systems can run games all the way back to Windows '98 in compatibility mode.

Love this game and still play it! I have quite a few people on my channel disliking my videos and saying shit like 'Why do you play this game" and "Battlezone 2 is a shit game!" And I have had a lot of friends have a go at me by saying its old and fucking shit Theres still a lot of support behind this game! If anyone wouldn't mind could you check out my BZ2 playthroughs? I have only done about12 missions in the campaign as I haven't had the time for others. There will be more vids though!!!!
