I installed the docker version on a VPS with 512MB memory and now it is not responsive and I have to delete the VPS. This pos crap is a hefty Java app and useless for private use.

We've been waiting for the 10k for the past 10 months, but we're unsure about Jitsi's true commitment.

I've had a different experience with these platforms. In my case, Microsoft Teams often presents choppy and stuttering video, while Zoom typically offers a smoother video call experience. I've also observed that in many of my Teams meetings, participants tend to rely mostly on audio, whereas in Zoom calls, more people seem to actively use their video.

I understand the the nature of a free service like Jitsi Meet, and I don't use it (we self host), but I seriously only takes 30 seconds for a thread to be started in the community site to at least start a conversation. I didn't actually know this had been an issue, but it doesn't reflect well. Still necessary, but not handled well and I don't hear any remorse whatsoever... My 2 cents.

I don't understand the problem. It takes less than 5 mintues from scratch to set up your own self hosted Jitsi Meet server. Why do so many people care about using their server when you can use your own?

4:30 Troubleshooting camera access needs a baseline. Google Meet is a good place to start. If you've given your browser camera access privileges correctly for Google Meet, and your camera works there, then you know your browser isn't the problem. You need to exhaust the basic troubleshooting issues first before escalating.

I think you need a better introduction video, this one seems to be aimed at developers. I think a more fun low back video would be more attractive to regular users.

Thank you for the demo, sadly it is well beyond my capabilities. We like Jitsi Meet very much, but most of our contacts are afraid to use it and promote the use of Zoom over other products. We hope Jitsi can do a better job of promotion in comparisons to Zoom. We see Zoom now has the option of immersive backgrounds and we are wondering if there is a component within Jitsi to create a realistic but virtual classroom, boardroom or auditorium view from participants or speakers perspective? I would like to see something controlled by the host, not much different from participants walking into a physical room or auditorium that is already set-up. I realize latency is a problem, but real time singing or musical interaction would be great to have.
