Good morning, when you have a crop in a field already planted that requires lime, it won't let you spread lime on the crop. You'll have to wait till the field has been harvested to spread lime on the field.
@willardlocks13 күн бұрын
I thought that was the case but decided to try anyway. Thanks for the information, I appreciate it.

I grew up 30 minutes from Frankenmuth, Michigan. Definitely a lot of sugar beats growing up there, and it’s not uncommon to have John Deere and IH on the same farm because in the next town over (Reese Michigan) there’s dealership for each.

I never cared for that fence, good to know you can delete it by selling the silo. I like driving in first person on the roads and around the farm, third person for working.

Flour turned into Bread has worked well for me. The flour mill keeps two bakeries full of Flour for a few months as they produce Bread, then the Bread is sold in the winter, then all three places remain dormant until the next harvest. I could never go back to just selling the grain straight up. For some reason, sometimes when the Like button is 0, it doesn't register my Like and stays on 0. Other times, it does register it and increases it to 1. It's still 0 this time. It always increases the number if I'm not the first person to Like a video.

I saw that fertilizer mod but I decided to stick with the regular two required fertilizations. It was either FS17 or FS19, can't remember which, that required THREE fertilizations for 100%, each one 33%.

When doing spinach, is it better to plant a field in spinach than buying a field already planted?
@willardlocks26 күн бұрын
I think it's better to plant because you can prepare the land correctly before planting, just my opinion.

A new mod came out today with more information in the upper right corner, the current temperature with high and low for the day, and the year number along with the month. I'm always changing my farmer's wardrobe to try to match the weather. My license plates always have the make and model of the new equipment, as much as there's room for.
@willardlocks29 күн бұрын
That's a good idea on the license plate.

Would like to have seen the new goat farm being placed and the goat purchase process. Unusual actions like those are more interesting to watch than field work. I bought 39 sheep, three loads worth of the animal transport that can haul 13 sheep at a time, on the field where you have your trees growing across from the main farm. Want to buy some goats but don't know where they would go yet. Also need to buy a place to process wool into fabric and then a dairy for the goats. The on-map dairy at Riverbend Springs cannot be purchased, have to place a dairy.

That is a good idea, I'll try to do that next time.

It's painful to watch that spinach driver in the corners. He goes backward more than he goes forward, squirming around like a fish out of water. Maybe he doesn't know you're watching and is trying to maximize his wages while the boss man is away.

Thanks for your tip on fixing GPS if it's not working on a field. I mentioned Field 6 was giving me trouble a few videos ago and after fixing a corner that was too close to the next field, that solved the problem, and GPS worked with harvesting and mulching. We're in business again! Thanks!

Farmer Klein has been doing lots of testing with the MacDon equipment compared to regular harvesters in his videos and there's been a consistent 25% increase in yields for all crops with MacDon. I'm gonna get one before my next harvest. He grew up on a farm and says it because the MacDon header is more gentle with the grain than a harsh harvester blade. A follow-up harvester header to pick up the grain doesn't have to be nearly as wide since the MacDon has already raked into neat rows it as it goes along. Great!
@willardlocksАй бұрын
Yes, I agree with Farmer Klein

I can't believe you got the stones to load into your trailer! I was thinking I would have to buy one of those $99,000 stone crusher placeable silos and mess around with a shovel but this is much easier. Thanks for showing how to do that. Now I just have to get the money for the cement factory. The grain mill museum needs the special cement roof plating. Haven't done much with cotton before, but only 43,000 liters on those two fields is kind of discouraging. I was hoping to start a textile mill to turn wool and cotton into fabric, but it's going to take a lot of sheep and cotton land to get things going well.
@willardlocksАй бұрын
It was a pain to figure out how to load them, but it works well.

With my two-day months, I fertilize on the same day I sow, and then the game allows me to fertilize a second time on the following day before the crop has appeared above ground. It removes that "first-day fertilized look" before I fertilize a second time so I can easily see where I've been. This is only an issue on expanded field 6 where the GPS usually does not work.
@willardlocksАй бұрын
Yeah that is a good way to do it.
@jeffhale2982Ай бұрын
My field 6 sometimes I can get the GPS to work and sometimes not. Next time after harvesting I'll check each piece of equipment as I work them to see if it's only particular equipment that doesn't work. I increased the size of field 6, don't know if that's the issue. Don't own field 7, haven't changed the size of field 9 yet so that's not been a problem with GPS. Yeah, that hopping Gold edition New Holland harvester is weird. I bought the DLC just to eventually get that particular harvester, don't have the in-game money yet to afford it anyway. Playing on Normal difficulty, two-day months, 24 days in a year, gave my farmer half a million dollars to start with.
@willardlocksАй бұрын
Yeah the GPS can be tricky sometimes.
@jeffhale2982Ай бұрын
@@willardlocks I'm going to look at my expanded field 6 again to see if I messed up anything. I see you figured out what was wrong your big expanded field, some overlapping of the grass you had laid down. Maybe that's my problem too.
