Ive had MD box where each R was upside down and then another box which had foils upside down.

SWCCG sometimes has reverse cards. Bummer yours was the R foil. Thanks for the content though.

I have NEVER seen a reversed card in my life. Not even caught on video i´ve seen. Shame about the scratches, but otherwise a really great video. I LOVE the nostalgia I get when opening the boxes. I'll probably invest in some nostalgic opening myself before long. Thanks for the LOTR TCG content!

Out of interest, how much did it cost to get all of those cards graded? From what I see on the site it's $25 per card?

I really liked this game when it came out. Sadly there wasn't much of a following in my LGS so I could only play against my brother. Thanks for the nostalgia.

Probably one of my bigger regrets getting rid of all these cards. Outside of collecting I had a blast playing when it was all fresh and had people to sit down with.

Little update on three of the cards (witch king, agility, Isengard journeyman. They have a print line running side to side near the top of the picture. No wonder they got knocked down a grade.

I wonder if the Baldog and Witch King got knocked because the foiling is kinda "frosty"? I've noticed sometimes that foiled areas will not be super crisp and clean looking. I have no idea if that is part of their grading criteria but it may be.

Saw a box of this in a store while Christmas shopping a few weeks ago, but I couldn’t bring myself to drop $400 (Canadian) on it. Perhaps more unexpectedly they also had a box of Fellowship Starters, and Boosters boxes of Return of the King and Siege of Gondor on the shelf. (for even more money of course)

My understanding is that starting in Shadows the foil pull rate was also dropped from one in 6 packs to one in 7 packs, so a box would average 5 foils instead of the previous average of 6.

Open box, weigh packs, open the heaviest 10, sell the rest. Such is a story of a lot of loose booster packs I am afraid.

I remember these! I never did play the game, but I remember getting a few packs on super clearance forever and a day ago.

I haven’t opened much yet, but in the two Fellowship starters I got all six of the random rares included were characters of some sort. (Legolas Greenleaf, Celeborn, Boromir, Farmer Maggot and two rare Uruk-hai). Seemed like a nice way to kick off my collection. I did get a box of Two Towers two since it was a good price, but the human shadow factions don’t interest me as much and in towers they seem to be very prominent.

I am just getting into this game this year. I got a pair of the Fellowship starters to start building a set. Barliman Butterbur was in one of them. I have two sequentially numbered boxes of fellowship boosters to open soon to flush out the set. I hope that will get me every common and uncommon and half or more of the rares.
