Joe was born to play and with dedication reached this plateau. This defines jazz blues all the way.

Is there a note for note transcription for his playing on this video. My old guitar teacher from High School Ray Gogarty (Massapequa NY) knew and played with Joe. After over 40 years looking to get back in to playing again in retirement.

My dad had a beautiful, strong tenor voice. I woke up this morning with this song on my heart, remembering Daddy singing the tenor line above the melody so many times when I was growing up. He’s been singing in Glory for nearly 10 years now, but I still miss him so much.

Is that Reese Wynans rocking' the piano? Played with SRV, Allmans and other Legends...
@davidhiggen3029Күн бұрын
Sorry, I just don't get it. He's very technically proficient: knows a lot of jazz chords and can play rapid scales and arpeggios. But where's the melody? The feel, the heart? Not there for me.

You should distinguish The rock blues From the jazz blues The rock blues Is The three chords Blues which Is Of course Much Easier than the Jazz blues the minor And dominante blues And the rhythm changes are the basic Forms of jazz music
