i’ve never understood why composers don’t take more advantage of the bass clarinet, it can sound very nice on the melody

Atleast you can actually get heard, bassoon always just doubles brass in any high school and below level piece

Any tips for bass clarinet? Beginner here
@bassclarinetbrian23 күн бұрын
honestly just try to practice every day, most of the people you think are "good" got there in sprints, and so being a beginner and going everyday lets you get to the top 1% surprisingly quickly

My theory for my current show music is the writer doesn't know what a bass clarinet sounds like or even does. He doesn't even use our lower octave. Our bd is making us do basically everything down an octave.

Bro is the bass clarinet tall? How tall is it
@idekaemКүн бұрын
The bass clarinet itself isn't too large--about the size of tenor sax. However, there is a stand attached to the bell, similar in shape to a cello, that makes the bass clarinet adjustable in height.
