Another great bass line is the one in immigrant song by Led Zeppelin. Unfortunately after their debut album they always had the bass turned down too low in my opinion. It's one of the coolest bass lines of all time but it isn't talked about because it's hard to hear.

Guthrie Govan who's widely considered the best guitarist alive right now said in an interview that when he first started playing guitar that he was in a motown cover band. He said the songs weren't difficult but that it completely changed the way he perceived melody and playing the songs were like a form of meditation for him. He tried to focus on playing each song better than he did the time before .

Great video. Nitpick: the tab for the main riff is incorrect. The fast 0-5-7-5-7 is missing a quick B on the 7th fret. It should be 0-5-7-7-5-7. It's an important part of what makes this riff swing! (-:
