Can you advise as to what the wiring harness was that you disconnected from the OEM mirror? You never mentioned it when you put everything back together? Thanks Gord
@JBeals2007Ай бұрын
That powers the mirrors auto dimming/light adjustment, my guess is he just tucked the plug in under the cover

Pull up settings, scroll them up and you can click to not show the time display!

Will the wolfbox backup camera interfere with the vehicle's oem backup camera or could they use together

When you removed the stock mirror, there were wires connected to the mirror. Does that just stay disconnected when you install the wolfbox "mirror"? And by disconnecting those wires, do you lose any functions like onstar capabilities?
@hd1657Ай бұрын
I was thinking the same thing? What is the wiring harness for when he disconnects the mirror? He didn't address this when putting it back together??
@JBeals2007Ай бұрын
Harness is for auto-dimming function of stock mirror. My guess is he tucked in the cover or took it out if other end disconnects (haven't opened mine yet). Onstsr runs on a different fuse in the box he runs his wires to, shouldn't affect it.

I was curious how the rear camera does mounted on the plate. Does it shake much? I want to replace my rear view mirror and use this instead but my tire bounces around quite a bit while driving.

That rig sure is beautiful! Definitely looks like a good cam, based on your adventures and seeing the use of it in your Jeep. :)

When you get to the river at Boulder, stay on the river at Boulder. Side trails are always nasty. Great video. Go in late August or early September.

Luckily the aftermarket for Wranglers has lots of exterior options to hold jerry cans, rotopax, and others... you never know when even an extra 2 to 4 gallons will come in real handy....

Great video showing what you carry. I bought the Cargo Dog system based on your recommendation. I’d like to see what other hand tools you feel are essential besides what you already showed. I know you have many many miles offroad and would like to see what you feel are useful.

I've been looking into a few dashcams for the '24 JLUR. One of the things I've trying to avoid is using up any real estate on the windshield to obstruct my view. This one caught my eye because it goes where the mirror is. How do you like it? I'm interested in a dashcam that has 24x7 monitoring ability cloud connected so you can remotely look at the cameras etc. What do you think of all the features on this one? The hardwire kit has me a little nervous. I'm looking for something easy to install and don't want to do any drilling. I was looking at the Nexar camera that plugs into the OBD port, but the unit itself is huge and sticks to the windshield. So I'm looking for alternatives. Thanks!
