Getting chills listening to the opening phrases from this sax player. Jazz is alive and well based on what I’m hearing. Too bad USA has forgotten what is one of two genres born here. Jazz and blues...

Take a note: The low end keys are on the *wrong* side of the bell, and octave key is underneath of the neck. She is playing pretty ancient horn... Would it be old Cone or something ??? BTW... I love this rendition and her tone. 6****** out of 5 !!!

She plays a Conn 26M "Connquerer" with a microtuner neck. These were made from the mid 1930s to the early 40s. And many vintage horn enthusiasts would consider the bell keys to be on the correct side :)

The fellow with the camera knew nothing of what he was doing. She is playing some fantastic riffs but we watch the drummer and to male it worse he shifts to her when she is done and sorting her sheet music. Just terrible.
