6:39 idk why i got a chuckle out of an old person using a new digital camera while a young person was using an old film camera 😂

God bless you for sharing this meditative process. Processing analog images is a crime punishable by death where I come from... or should I say when I come from. Yes tis' true. I have taken hold of the top secret eastman temporal emulsifier to bring you warning of dire futures ahead. The film goblins have taken over, destroying all things analog. Save for a few caches of lomo purple sparsely hidden by our rag tag collective of film resistance members, there is nothing left. We have managed to continue shooting and developing half of a frame of color film each month by smartly rationing our decade old expired Cinestill Cs41. Though we dare not share our work for fear of the goblin apologists bringing word to their supreme commander. All is not lost. If this message may reach enough film hipsters we may well prevent the digital dystopia and ensure a world for all analog artists. I have subscribed in hopes of bolstering the resistance. Do NOT visit my youtube channel unless you are prepared to make it on THEIR list of priority targets. They have eyes everywhere. Be warned and god speed!

the M3 is amazing, the best film M ever. But you should use your Leica with the right eye. Then you also open the left eye and see the aerial around you. That’s the reason why the view finder is not in the middle of the camera, is at the left side to use both eyes.

He recently did a CLA on my 50mm Summicron v3 lens from DAG. I got the lens for a killer deal because it had haze and fungus. Don was able to get rid of all of it. I had the same stall experience with my shipment. Looking forward to watching more videos from you. Congrats on the new gear!

Don does great work. Everything comes back basically brand new. That's awesome that he was able to fix that Summicron for you. I'm absolutely in love with the M3. Thanks for watching, next video coming tomorrow!

I remember getting mines for the first time. The camera gods and the spirit of Wetzlar Germany blessed me by having the lens show up the same day with my M6 so I can shoot with it the same day instead of waiting for my lens. Beautiful camera though enjoy your new toy.

Thanks! I've been loving every second using this beautiful camera. That's awesome that your lens came same day as the body. I would be dying if I couldn't use the camera the day I got it.

The M3 is the best of the Leica rangefinders in my opinion. I have the Leica M3 and M5 and I think the M3 is all one needs to shoot 50mm. Pure bliss man!

Being primarily a 50mm shooter, this camera is GOLD. Brought me back to shooting 35mm film.

Nice. M3 is the best built Leica - so smooth. Even the MP/MA can’t compare. That 0.92x viewfinder is also lovely.
@JDMXCIV9 ай бұрын
I haven't handled any other Leicas, but this one is built like a tank. The MP would probably be the only other Leica I would consider.

Love that shot of the rear of the Kharman Ghia with the bumper stickers! I usually roll 28, which for me is a nice balance of not too many shots before I can develop it. So, I wonder: can you shoot it, remove the remjet, dry it, then have a store process it as C-41? Or remove the remjet, then shoot and dev in C-41. I’d be all over that!
@JDMXCIV10 ай бұрын
Thanks man! I'm gonna have to start loading shorter rolls. Going through 40 frames can be quite a task. That's an interesting theory if I weren't developing on my own. You would need to be able to get the film back into a dark container before handing it to a shop. Not sure if they would take on the headache of processing that and taking the risk of potential remjet remnants left on the film.
@gottanikoncamera10 ай бұрын
Yeah, good point. And I sure don’t want to upset the guy who runs the one place in town that processes film, lol.
@travis_cannady10 ай бұрын
When I'm bulk loading I prefer 24 exposure rolls. I end up getting about 30 rolls from a 100' roll.
@JDMXCIV10 ай бұрын
I'm gonna need to start doing that. I'm barely managing to get through almost 40 frames right now.
