Honestly if you want to go lofi on a budget you can make some great patches on the Zoom 70CDR. Yeah it's going to be digital but it still will get you some good sounds.

Most of us won't be buying Deckard's Dream, but at least we have VST synths, such as the new Xils Lab The Eighty.

On the recording the Prophet 6 has such better top end that it sort of skews the comparison. The e7 might have more thickness and charm, but the lack of treble makes that less apparent because it doesn't cut.

Newbie question. Does the sound come from the synth or external speakers?

I have a 3rd wave so to me even the prophet 5 is meh. Teo 5 I prefer but I'd rather get ob8-D or turn off prophet filters on 3rd wave and just use its sem filters. They are so close to authentic analog ones that I'm actually okay with them! and I'm EXTREMELY picky about bad sounding filters, all behringers suffer from a lack of analog brightness in their "analog" filters, usually measuring like high end vsts in a box.

It sounds delightfully 'mushy' with the help of that pitch mod too. Still bright but not shiny. Really nice sound! 👏😃

I love my Take 5. It's so much fun and easy to design useful sounds.

This is deep. It's definitely a nod to the CS-80 in a modern box. It's got so much life to it. Once you dig into the manual, Im sure the result will be killer.

If I started EM, I would buy a MIDI keyboard, download Vital for free or pay once for a high end softsynth. Rooms with 5 Racks carrying 37 boards... should ask a doctor for better medication.

UNC’s “Chopped Chin and Nod” is so tough because it embodies the physicality, discipline, and technique required to excel in their basketball and defensive schemes. The move, often associated with setting hard screens, quick cuts, and decisive actions, forces defenders to stay locked in and communicate at all times. UNC’s players masterfully execute it with precision, using their strength, footwork, and basketball IQ to create advantages on the court. Whether it’s freeing up a shooter, creating lanes for a drive, or simply wearing down the opponent over time, the toughness of “Chopped Chin and Nod” lies in its relentless execution and the demand for physical and mental endurance. Opponents know that if they don’t match UNC’s energy and grit when defending it, they’ll quickly find themselves outworked and outplayed.

The Take 5 honestly gives you the Prophet 5 sound for less than half the cost in my opinion, if the 44 keys are an issue just use a bigger keybed MIDI controller or other synth to drive it (assuming you have one), which in your case of course you do.
