Shout out from June Grant in NZ born in Edinburgh played as a kid in and out all those areas as we lived in Johnston Terrace opposite the Castle. Been in NZ for 36 years and visit the Auld Toon when I can. Sitting in bed with a cup of tea watching your guided tours is fantastic. Thanks so much.❤

You went a ways around the George Bryce historical notice. Didn't you think that story worth sharing?

I have read that Lawnmarket is called like this because of Land market which took place here - people sell products from the land - milk, butter, etc. as well as cloth, linen and yarn. Never heard of drying stuff here. From where water was taken in those times? Which version is correct?

The Hub is NOT the highest building in Edinburgh! Maybe in the Old Town, but not in entire city. The highest is St Mary's Episcopal Church!

During the 17c my ggggparents lived in Edinburgh. I had their address and wanted to see what it looked like. Sadly it had been knocked down during the building of Edinburgh University, more than likely as an add on to the University, which is very old anyway. The area was called Mahogany Land. I was very happy that it was the Student Union building. With all the other addresses I had the buildings were still remaining. I was born in a little village just outside Edinburgh. Funny he should mention ER11, if you look at the verses of 'God save the Queen' the 7th verse is all about 'slaughtering all Scot's'. No wonder the Scottish don't like her. Hypocritical of her to spend her holidays there.

Me and my mate are taking a trip up from Leeds to have a pissup. Last time Scots Police were GREAT!!! They even provided a towel to clear up the puke, What more can a Yorkshireman ask for..Went to see that Brass dog in Black Fryers. Took us ages to find it. We were looking for Ainsley Harriot. In the end we were told not to touch its nose so I wiped its Arse with a tissue.

Wonderful series. It will help a lot for my visit. Sorry but, it could be better without all the call outs.

Was wondering if you would point out the burial site of John Knox in the car park but it looks like the surrounding architecture took priority which is understandable.

Scots, how did you come to such a life that you have a minister of health, a certain Hamza Yusuf? You forgot about Culloden.

This is all very nice and interesting. I just wonder, why you have not mentioned about Gen. Maczek bench which is located in City Chambers courtyard? And why you didn't tell anything about his amazing story and his connections with Edinburgh? As well as many other polish soldiers who stayed here in Edinburgh and Scotland after WWII?

I would go to English language school located on The Royal Mile. I wanted to go further study for Edinburgh university and get involved in the tourism industry like you doing now. Unfortunately it didn't come true with my health condition. Now I"m qualified to be a tour guide for foreign tourists in Japan. I'm learning how to guide from you. Your technique is authentic. I'm so glad to know about the origin of the loo😂
