We are not to "study" we are to hear God. We read the Bible, since it is God's word and He may speak through His word. We need wisdom to live aright and we do not need to know the future in order to do that. Indeed future telling is forbidden in the Bible. No one knows what prophecy means until God reveals or until it is fulfilled and God reveals. Even the Apostles did not know until it happened and God revealed, opened their understanding. Waiting before the Lord was the secret of the Azusa street and it was originaly made in inner silence as one can read in the Paper magasines published at the time 1906-1908, there is an extraordinary text about Waiting in The Apostolic Faith , volume 1.12, January 1908 at the "Prayer"entry in the seven paragraph: "Many people pray their own thoughts and do not stop and wait for the mind of God", this is what is hapenning more and more people praise in the lips but the heart is far away from the Lord because we do not wait for the Lord himself and the Mind of Christ! First the reason all those english translations all make the same mistake is because they all used the Masoretic Text, which was changed from the original work of the Anshei Knesses Hagdolah (Men of the Great Assembly) which started with Daniel around 550 BC and ended with Malachi around 400 BC plus the Dead Sea Scrolls verify this.Second, this refers to the Tower of Babel [Gen Chap 11] , there isn't any sons of Israel yet. So how did God divide the Nations among Jacob's sons, and if you look at the table of Nations (Gen 10) there were 70, that doesn't happen for hundreds of years after Babel, plus in between you have Exodus. Third, are you going to try and tell me that at the head of every nation there was a Jew running it. Forget About It.

I used only the KJV to preach out of. But I have wondered why "pascha" in Acts 12:4 is translated Easter instead of Passover, given the origins of the word easter.

I too have training in the Biblical languages: 21 hours in NT, and 18 hrs in Biblical Hebrew and still believe in my KJB as the final authority.

Why some have problems with Reasoned eclecticism. I John 5:7 is found in a majority of the Latin, but not the Greek so out it goes. Good will towards men Doxology in Matthew Without cause God manifest in the flesh Are a majority in the Greek but not in the Latin, so out they go The PA and Mark 16:9-20 are a majority in both the Greek and Latin so out they go. Even the “not yet” found in the two of the earliest(P66.P75) in John 7:8 some throw out. If as an orthodox Christian you don't see a problem, what would you see as a problem?

Go to the National Archives. They have Thomas Jefferson's bible. Thomas Jefferson literally cut out many parts of the Bible that he did not like. WOW!

Every word was looked over 14 times by the translators and they were 47 translators so the words are pretty sure I’m pretty certain and pretty pure

I have just looked at the videos you've produced. You have recorded 70...but only have attracted 23 subscribers. Have you ever asked yourself what you are doing wrong?

Brother Ty, I appreciate you posting this. I would have liked to have had a discussion about KJV only, but this will do nicely. Do I agree with you? For the most part I do. Other than the things you have mentioned, KJV is as reliable as any other modern translation, and better than most. The only thing I would disagree with you is the source documents for the KJV translators. The Textus Receipticus is a Latin translation from the original Greek and Hebrew documents available at the time. My understanding is that the KJV translators leaned heavily on the work of William Tyndale, who translated all of the New Testament and about 2/3 of the Old Testament using Greek and Hebrew texts available to him (more that had been for the Latin translators) before he was martyred, rather than a translation form another translation (Latin). I know that you will agree the the Bible is unlike any other book ever written. It is the Living Word of God breathed from Him to His People. In His Sovereignty, He is able to insure that the pure message He is sending in His Word, is not distorted or corrupted to make it anything less than His Word. There are "translations" that do not meet this standard, such as those claiming to be thought for thought, or "paraphrased", versions. All I can say is that these translations don't taste the same (more on that later). Personally, I have read, cover to cover, six other recent translations, all which lean heavily to a word for word, as opposed to thought for thought translating. You are correct in saying that some passages can be more clear in newer translations, but I have found nothing in any of the translations I have read that would contradict what is found in the KJV. When I read my Bible (any of the ones I have chosen) it feed my soul as no other writing can do. And that 'Soul Food' tastes good! That's how I can tell when someone has tried to water it down for whatever reason. I guess they can't digest meat. The difference I read in these various translations is not in the spiritual nutrition, only is the seasoning. But you do have to be careful and what you put on your plate. I have by no means relegated my KJV to a shelf in my room. It is still my go-to for research (primarily because all the verses I have memorized over the years are KJV verses). Anyone who would put their KJV in a corner, never to be used again, would be making a grave mistake. But anyone who would refuse to investigate the newer translations, which have even more Greek and Hebrew source material available, would also be making a mistake. The only thing I would also recommend would be to get a good study Bible that can explain some of the differences. And also use something like www.blueletterbible.org/ which lets you move from translation to translation while looking at the same passage. I also use The Bible App on my phone and tablet the same way. However, I would NOT recommend any other functions, like the devotionals, in that app. I may drop in for another Wednesday service some day.
