If the Caterham didn't have the aerodynamics of a brick it would toast the 996 in the straights as well. Colin Chapman designed this car for a 40hp engine. I wonder if he ever imagined stuffing a 250hp engine into one.

For me, this is the best racing video on KZbin. I try to keep track of what gear he is using but he certainly "rows" that gearbox. Great sound, camera work fore and aft. Entertaining +.

I think you need a different camera position, your rear view mirror blocks out too much of the screen to see what is going on.

As a Porsche owner let me comment on this hair-raising video. The race was won not by the Caterham but it's driver. One would need to assess this from the standpoint of experience with the track, and with the car. Also the nerves of steel exhibited by Caterham's driver is not likely to be matched.

He lapped at virtually the same speed as a F1 car did in 1967. It is hard to make a direct comparison. But this is a basically uprated 1957 Design. The Chateram is a remarkable machine.
