This is a tough way to pass, ladies. Unfortunately we can't do much about it. At the start of our journey we had/have an incredibly loving home. We had had a long happy relationship together. And I knew we had so much to give. A good friend of mine had just had a donor egg baby that I adored. They were/are excellent parents and their home is full of love and joy. I saw numerous stories of beautiful DE families. My heart felt warm for them. I wanted that too so much. But the thought of going there traumatized me. The pain was unbearable. So we wanted to start treatments as soon as possible. I can fully relate to you. Every other visit to a fertility expert was a challenge for me. We passed failed ICSI cycles. Then another round ivf with donor eggs in Kyiv. Which brought no luck.. Another one. Successful. But no one can describe the amount of anxiety we feel with every other step. This is how our hearts each time break and heal again. To move on with our brave faces on. I'm praying for every struggling couple/single ladies here.

Thanks for sharing this. Fertility treatments usually involve many people into the whole process. You may feel from time to time like you're passed forward from hands to hands. You may think you get less attention as needed. We experienced the same. But looking back I'd say they did less with the previous clinic we were certain with ( They advised us to pass IUI, then ICSI shots with own egg - all the attempts failed and left us with nothing but 'we're sorry, maybe following round..' This pushed us onto switching the clinics. Next time we found ourselves abroad passing ivf with donor egg in Kyiv. Our BTC experts told us my eggs were not going to work because of their poor quality. And they really couldn't understand the reason the previous one suggested trying IUI and ICSI with own egg. Looming out our money?..Well, will all my heart I wish you the best with your cycle. Experiences with clinics differ among people here. You'll definitely read various points of view. That is so great when you have awareness in the process of such important things like IVF, ICSI, IUI, egg donation or surrogacy procedures. Not many clinics are eager to communicate with you and lead through the process. I know that they are obliged to but it would be great if they have a more polite attitude towards us, their patients. I want them to understand that we are human beings and we are afraid of many things, we need help. It is a really important matter.

I can’t say what is like to be a recipient of these eggs. But I can describe how it is to be an egg donor! Honestly, even though I am a 2-time donor it is still hard to believe that we live in such modern world. The world where it is possible to help someone to get their miracle kid. I am sure that all donors must be anonymous. It can protect donor to some extent. In Ukraine the donors are anonymous, too. You can only get phenotype description and very few personal information. Also donors must have at least one their healthy child. However it is a big stress for women organism. There can be risks for her health. That’s why clinic should be very careful and responsible in selecting the donor. In order not to damage donor’s health.
