How easy was it to get up on the other side of the curve? I've heard about rattlesnakes, copperheads and bears wandering about on the trail.

@@tri-staterailproductions5545 It’s a climb for sure & I didn’t see any rattlesnakes but I did see a copperhead on my way up just sitting under a fallen tree. You go through the tunnel & on the right side there is a little pull off to park, then you can see an unmarked path walking back towards the tunnel before the concrete that leads up to the opening. Hope that helps!

And that's a lot! Very nice btw :) Were those salt hoppers on 316 at minute 8 ? Also seeing a lot of those Pumpkin BNFS's like on the NS 264 trains up here. One just tied down in Syracuse by Wegmans ( MP288 ) this afternoon B headed east tomorrow. Love those EMD's as well. :) Cool to see an ALL emd powered 309 too. Good stuff! Thank you for building this video :)

@@SoutheasternRailfan The K5LA kept having random burst of air pressure so it was definitely an interesting one and the K5H was super awesome especially when I was driving beside it on the way to Mt Jewett

@@rylixoxo yea the K5LA was an interesting one since they replaced the K3LAs for some reason but never the less we cannot complain about it tho

@@SoutheasternRailfan personally I think they should have ripped off the RS3L’s from the 60’s and put them on the Dash 9’s but its still cool to see though, that train was flying to say the least when I saw the B&P last September they were maybe doing 20-25 up that hill struggling so its good they have better power but sad to see all the EMD’s gone

Nice video, great spot & love those manifests with DPU's. The CSX main line kind of spoils you as compared to the Southern Tier . ALSO like the "set back" camera location vs. the right next to the train views so common :) HOPING u post this on "Railroads of CNY" :)
