I find it inappropriate that she wasn’t wearing a bra while filming in the black tank top.

Hey Nancy, great tub! Who is your wood supplier?

That must be one beefy deck to hold that weight! I am curious if you are using chlorine, bromide, or salt to treat the water. My wife and I trekked in Vietnam and the trek ended with soaks in one person tubs at a bath house in the mountains. Very similar construction - although I don't know the type of wood. I want to build one of these myself. Thank you for the excellent inspiring video.

Love this! It reminds me of when I'm doing a project. Making mistakes, figuring it out, and not being too hard on myself! I'm trying to make a drop leaf table with reclaimed 1 3/4" cherry and having trouble finding hinges for the leaf. I'm going over this video time and again to see if you did an angled cut on your leaf/tabletop to get a more attractive union with the leaf down so you are able to use a 90 degree hinge. Can you tell me what the thickness of your tabletop is and what degree of angle you used? I have only 1 shot at cutting if I don't want to waste $150 in beautiful reclaimed wood 🙃 Thanks in advance!

Why people build saunas without air intake and outle for air circulation. Beginners mistakes and as Finnish sauna professional i just cant understand why someone would build suffocading sauna 🤦‍♂️

This is a super cool build, I really enjoyed you taking the time to go through the construction process in detail. This is an old video, so I’m not sure if this was ever resolved, but as others have mentioned, you need to reinforce your deck for the weight of the tub, as I’m assuming the deck wasn’t built with tub in mind. When framing a house you always double up and sometimes triple up joist where tubs are going to be placed due to the shear weight they place on the floor when they’re filled with water. Shouldn’t be too hard of a fix though if you haven’t already done so. Make sure your deck posts are within safe load capacities as well. Good luck!

I saw your video a year ago and am ready to build. Can I ask how it has held up over the years? Mostly concerned about leaking after time.

Thanks for sharing. This is very helpful and I plan to do a tabletop with Baltic birth plywood. Just wonder if the pre-stain condition and gel stain will work well with Baltic birch plywood and any finish product to recommend after stain. Thanks.

the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. kzbin.infoUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.

The first half of the kzbin.infoUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.

For me, the ideas in kzbin.infoUgkxAfqpMLyFn37qcqUl0FAzqkkycQeXqrhP Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.
