Such an insightful conversation! Matthew Wilson brings valuable expertise to the table, especially for restaurant owners struggling with menu optimization, operational efficiency, and team management. His emphasis on creating a highly profitable menu and revamping employee management strategies is so timely, especially in today’s competitive market. And the importance of a social audit for building a strong online presence? Absolutely spot on! Thanks, Jaime and Matthew, for sharing these actionable tips-this will definitely help restaurant owners who are looking to level up. 👏

Wow, thanks for this pod! I'm not a restaurant owner, but I want to build an app that integrates AI and established platforms with API access. MenuCalc might be the best fit. The insights Lucy gave were much appreciated.

I lived in Greece and love Greek food, but franchise Greek doesn’t taste like mom and pop Greek. Just opened one of these in my town and I’ll give it one chance but I’m not a fan of many franchise restaurants, especially if a Greek one isn’t even owned by a Greek!

Now that we are in end of 2021,, do you still believe location is important because now many customers are ordering on Uber eats, Doordash etc.

We own a restaurant in same spot for 21 years, our lease expired and was never renewed. The new landlord gave us 30 days to get out....is that legal? We always paid on time, this is a new owner. We got scared due to the short time frame , he offered us to move to a smaller unit that is empty and we have to pay for the buildout including bathroom, ceiling, etc. can he do that?

My first day without a training assistant as Hostess. Ugh! I hope this goes well. My issue is when I suggest a seat for guests, they always want a different table/booth location. Servers get angry that they have too many guests. I'm confused sometimes, but I'll work it.

I think one of the best ways to keep employee loyalty, is for the management regular dialogue with their employees.
