Great video I draw a lot of inspiration from the trapping methods of the USA on our French foxes but what is a shame is that no lure seller wants to send gland-based lures to us in France. I would be really curious to try them and see if they work on our foxes. here in France we do not find recipes for gland-based lures. However, I removed certain glands which I froze while waiting to find recipes

There is no wrong side for the dog.
@SeldomFales
@SeldomFales 10 күн бұрын
I did the “wrong side” dog placement for almost 30 years for a reason. As a canine is placing it’s foot on the pan, the canine’s leg/foot is moving forward and it’s on a forward angle meaning that the force of the leg is pushing down and forward away from the dog/trigger instead of toward the higher pan tension at the dog & jaw! As a factoid, JC Conner actually explains this in one of his videos as he places his dog on the “wrong side” as well! Canines don’t walk like they’re on pogo sticks straight up and down! LOL

As a fellow trapper and someone that worked as a cameraman. For years doing wildlife shows, you need to dispatch the animal before you start making clips. We trappers get enough bad publicity without giving ammunition to the crack pots out thereThat lose their minds over seeing an animal with his foot in a trap. Not sure What the purpose of the video was for. zero informative information

You say "just fits in like that" and then it switches to a view that doesnt show how it fits in ? Seems like it would only need one slot not 2 , please clarify or show a better shot of how the trap sits in the slot(s) , thanks

It just slides in and it needs 2 slots because the spring fits in 1 and the bolt in the other
