I've seen some of these colorized episodes on TV and they show just how good colorization can be. I can understand that this sort of thing was new 25 years ago, somewhat experimental and prohibitively expensive. But it didn't stay that way for long. The same sort of high-quality colorization was done about 20 years ago on the first two seasons of Bewitched and the first season of I Dream of Jeannie. So why haven't we seen the same with I Love Lucy? It's about time they do the whole series. (Personally, I hope we see it with The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis as well.)

I am fascinated by the entire colorization process. But I'm puzzled about the remark about the "inability" to add color to the Christmas Tree lights. If the shape is matte black or solid white, in PhotoShop the flat color in those areas will take a color, particularly black areas. But they found a way in this process.
