This is pretty amazing. I work for a co-op that's going up there again soon and I'm planning on possibly following and documenting their experience in the Navajo Nation.

Step one: eliminate beavers. Step two: complain about loss of water, loss of good soil, increase in fires, more erratic weather...

When my power goes out I bring in my cheap solar garden lights. You have to take them out for the day, but that' s not so bad.

I have 4 wires and in my old thermostat, the green wire goes in letter "O" slot. However in your video, the green goes in letter "G" slot. Is it ok if I can put green wire in "G" slot?

Wire placement may vary between different thermostats. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for proper placement.

Solar is almost perfect. It makes the most when we use the most. Many solar homes now have battery storage on site. Solar stops at night when we use the least power. No water use and no pollution.
@solarstacks Жыл бұрын
He didn't mention all the homes , schools , businesses and PPA that supply power right at the locations tgat use it. Using new home solar with batteries is a new VOA Virtual Power Plant. These are all important. We need to work together.

My heartaches to know that still 14000 Navajo homes are without electricity. I hope the American government stops giving aid to other countries. And focuses just on all the reservations in America.

They have an easier road to 50% renewable energy because of the hydroelectric potential. I think it's a riddle that can't be ideally solved with conventional means. In my opinion, the best thing about solar is its potential to pull energy from the environment, not the fact that it's clean or renewable. The machines themselves are never clean or renewable, so it's basically only a clean facade (whitewash, or "greenwashing" I guess). However, if it means cooling down the cities, it would be worth it. I can't imagine it would though. It's really like the whole global warming narrative. Apply the inverse logic with ways to cool the planet, and all of a sudden, no human activity could ever make a large enough of a difference to bring down the temperature. It's a scientific/political double standard. It's just drama.

I was a long term (decades) homeowner & SRP customer who supported home energy audit's & residential solar installation. I think SRP made a strategic mistake by shifting focus from residential solar production and use to commercial solar farms. Yes, SRP & the government tax collectors make more money through cultivating the sale of electricity, but that's at the cost of efficiency to the local customers. I watched SRP boost (install) additional distribution in my older neighborhood to support the growing demand at a time they could have supported local generation to reduce demand and increasing efficiency of utility utilization. Now instead of reducing utility cost, SRP is pursuing adding an additional financial burden to customers to support commercial battery storage. Had SRP been supportive of, instead of undermining residential solar installation they could now upscale local generation to include local battery storage. It would have been a win, win, win for the customer. Lower long term utility cost as local solar is being paid off & lower utility capital cost as the customer was providing free utility infrastructure & maintenance. Increased efficiency of electrical utilization by both residential customer & utility, & the avoidance of additional utility & tax burdens in support of yet another commercial cost. It was a sad day when SRP jumped on the California lie that residential solar was harming the electrical grid and not paying their “fair share”. It's amazing how that political phrase keeps being used by morons pursing a failure agenda.

I have to say to the Indian Bureau and the Governor of New Mexico, how about the promised water and electricity on the Navajo in the Gallup and Farmington area? During the Civic lockdown in this state, the Navajo went into Gallup to get water for themselves and their sheep. It was denied to them. They were turned away by the town. They suffer extremely because they are Navajo and they consider them a dirty useless person. They are nor have they ever been given any respect. They have suffered for centuries and they are treated worse than the other native nations in this state.

Coming from the Dinè land it brought a tear to my eye this rear for me to 😪.. growing up with no kind of power source ect.. I had to leave the rez for a education and a fair job. Leaving my grandparents out in a very rural area 30 -70 miles away from society. 7 miles off the main highways roads. Wood was the only heat in winter and their vehicle was their only AC. Very greatful for the multiple Agencies volunteers and companies who help provided joy and happiness to the people who had lost hope and doubt.

This is what a video made by people who don't know what they are doing looks like. Frame material belongs on the other side of the miter box when sawing so it doesn't move around so much. Roll the screen material into the frame first, left side then right side, then top and bottom. Then use the roll the spline into the frame.

What happen to my power, another round of nothing for some. It's like the lady said some of us have given up on getting power. The Rez runs on favoritism, people holding the office positions in Window Rock are the ones getting served. If you live over the hill you're forgotten. Just to make it feel better you're told next round. What a joke.
