I spent many a summer there back in the 1970's when it was owned by MRA. It has spectacular Rhododendron bushes all the way from one end of the driveway to the other. Very fond memories 💙

Love the 1950s music! Introductions to "Housewives' Choice" and "Music While You Work" - so reminiscent of visiting my aunt and uncle in Friern Barnet, accessed by the 521 and 621 trolleybuses. So sad that these wonderful low-pollution machines were phased out as modern technology could have overcome many of the drawbacks such as operating the points and having to lower the poles to enable overtaking.

The original YTV chevron.Apparently it was put together by former ABC Weekend TV people,to more or less resemble the ABC triangle,with in smaller letters below ABC.

In the 1960s the demise of this smooth running, non polluting and quiet mode of transport seemed a mistake. Over 50 years later it still seems to be a mistake! Trolleybuses have returned to Prague - will they return to Britain?
