I can be like that too. Thinking worse case scenarios. God told us to capture our thoughts, so I tell myself it is not my thought and lay it down at feet of the cross. If its really bad/intense I pray the Lords prayer. If Im going to be repetitively thinking something it will be the Our Father. ❤ May peace be with you all.

I am a Christian and I have ocd and religious ocd (scrupulousity) and this sounds exactly like that, whilst there are times where the devil is trying to put fear in our hearts; sudden thoughts like this of dark things is textbook intrusive thoughts aligned with ocd

Unfortunately not everyone thinks like this anymore. I know lots of people who think that way. I love my mom because she buys me things and let me watch tv whenever I wanted and always makes sure everything is clean and organized: Actually I know a lot of people like this. People don’t get or understand connection and relationships anymore. It’s all about money and stuff and screen time.

The video is just pointing out that spending your time and your focus on your kids is so important. It’s better to have the house at a ‘good enough’ level than to have that approach to your kids.

Now if only they can invent shoes that children cannot pull off their feet that will be a miracle and they'll be like multi-billionaires but that will probably happen when pigs fly and unicorns exist but we'll take what we can get for right now lol.

I grew up in a biohazard hoarders home, and I now have panic attacks when my home even slightly resembles a mess. Trust me when I say, that kid would have loved to have had a clean floor and an empty sink.
