That is a lot of good sound for a trio! Nice work by each musician. And as a former jazz drummer, I admire the understated quality of the drummer's approach.

❤❤❤❤❤ The parade takes place every Sunday at eleven o' clock and many tourists get gathered at the place to watch the Evzones whom all of us really admire!!! What they do is very difficult and it is a great honour also to serve as an Evzon. Only few are capable of finishing the harsh training and they deserve our full respect! 💕💕💕💕❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Oh, it is great to find this video. This take on U2's Rattle and Hum classic with B.B. King. Tom Green did a phenomenal job with the choruses. You could tell that the guys were all enjoying it. Eddie was slamming on the drum fills... I saw this live at Merry Bomb's 2000 set at Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts. They owned that night, and still own one of my favorite rock and roll memories.

I like the snare sound, what material is it? sounds like medium tuning
@EdEDrummer Жыл бұрын
It's a mid-70's Slingerland Buddy Rich model (not part of the TreeHouse kit). It looks like a metal shell because of the chrome outer wrap but it's actually a maple shell. Yes, it is at a medium tuning.

Well done, but the bass guitar is missing....
@EdEDrummer Жыл бұрын
Thanks, Francesco. The traditional instrumentation for an organ trio is organ, guitar, and drums. There generally is not a bassist. The bass register is played by the organist with the left hand and/or feet.

Hi Eddie! I am enjoying your video up here in Toronto, Canada in 2023. Great performance! I hate to be the guy asking about equipment, but I'm hoping to upgrade my cymbals in 2024. I see you're using the Zildjian Custom Dark 18˝ crash. Are your other cymbals and the hi hats also Custom Dark? I play jazz standards (part time and not professionally). I will be looking for a used set. Would you recommend these?
@EdEDrummer Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your kind words, Wayne. There's no doubt that Zildjian makes fine cymbals, and their K and K Custom lines are certainly a good choice for jazz. But the reality is that each individual cymbal has it's own unique character. Two cymbals that are the exact same make & model can have radically different sounds, so you really need to audition the cymbals in-person and choose the ones you like best. While I do like Zildjian, I play many different brands including Bosphorus, Istanbul, Crescent, Paiste, and others. My point is: pick what sounds good to you. Your cymbals are a part of your own unique sound, so have fun creating the "Wayne Sound."

Wow, best compact kit I've ever heard. A great warm woody sound. And very nice drumming too. Shame they're so pricey.
@EdEDrummer Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words, Michael. If you compare TreeHouse to other custom drum builders, I actually think their prices are very good. But yes, if you compare them to mass-produced kits from a major label, they are going to cost more. Each of their kits is handmade, one at a time, and you just can't do that on the cheap. Bottom line: they aren't cheap but they are a good value IMHO. Thanks again for your comments!
