Oil bath air filter is mounted behind gas tank ahead of firewall on right side. The oil filter and basket screen are accessible through plate on bottom of oil pan. Some will recommend oil with zinc in it for the flat tappets in that engine. It’s got a superior transmission to the Ford version. Nice addition to the farm, thanks for sharing.

3:08 Sorry, nope, no diesel for the WD. The WD engine was a 4 cylinder 201 ci that could be set up to run on gas or on tractor fuel. The WD-45 had a 4 cylinder engine 226 ci engine that could be setup for gas, tractor fuel, or LP. After Allis bought Buda, they offered the WD-45 with a 6 cylinder 230 ci diesel. The power specs on the gas and diesel engines are almost identical, the diesel makes a little more torque.

Pretty sure your tractor is a WD, not a WD45
@FarmingWithGarvin5 ай бұрын
This is why I explained it the tractor is an 1951 WD with a bored out motor and modified the outside to resemble the WD 45 tractor I just bought it like that from our neighbors

Good morning Garvin , love watching you and your 2840 working. I just bought one from the estate of the original owner, seems to be in great shape. Waiting for summer so we can put her to work making hay. Keep safe and remember country stars are better than big city lights. ☕🇺🇸💜

A lot of Hay producers use the acclumilator- grapple system.... but not us...... We discovered that open shed storage of small squares either single or in bundles seem to lose color and conformation.. Whereas 4x5 rounds converted into 21- bale bundles loaded directly into the enclosed trailer have a fresher look.......Although we have the equipment to bale bundle and load in the field,.... we choose to utilize the labor to round bale, haul, and store and convert as needed...... Your channel seems to be coming along....
