Some people consider this mirchi chawal as gharibi ka khana, jab ghar mein thangi hoti hai, chawal banakey khana bagarlete, curry bananey paise nahi rehte …. Such situations are very common in middle class people. Definitely most of the people will relate with me.

Yes Very True Our Family went through this in the End of Every month 25th to 30th very hard days for us During Early 1970 ,S. My Father Salary was Not Enough though he was Central Government Employee in a good Position But Cannot Able to Fullfil all Commitments as we had Built A new House My Mother Sacrificed A Lot and Ate MIRCHI CHAWAL when the Curry finished by me and my Sisters She is 88 years Now Alhamdullilah May Allah Swt gives her good health Alhamdullilah we are all settled in Saudi Arabia and My Sisters Daughters in UK KSA We Cannot forget the Hardship and Sacrifices given by my Parents for our Studies AND for my sisters Marriages

Hello Anam, We also eat this since my childhood. It was our go to meal for breakfast during my school days and now as well. My mom used to add Motton and chicken pieces in it.
