At 09:00 mark. The lower end dashboard table is lower end? Are you suggesting that the dashboard shortcut is lower end to its larger sibling or to the other two tables? The shortcut is simply shorter than it’s longer sibling, but in no way lower end to it. And it’s certainly not lower end to the Festool or bench dog. What were you trying to say? I’ll agree that the dashboard products are more expensive than the other two… superior products often times are.

By lower end I was not suggesting lower quality. The all in table is the 1699.00 model in my opinion. If you don't have the money for the larger table maybe you might settle for the smaller option due to price. That is not an indication of quality in my honest opinion. Sure it may not be the best usage of the English language to say lower end but not everyone requires exact statements to deduce the meaning of what is said. Again feel free to find a creator that better suits your expectations.

You don’t own all three… but you’re going to talk about (compare) them anyway? I only made it to the part of the video where you said the dashboard does not fold up into itself. I purchased a dashboard shortcut nearly 3 years ago and it does indeed fold up into itself, not sure how you could’ve missed that. In fact, it says it right on their website “No assembly required” It also retails for $1099, not $1199. Also includes free-shipping. Did you visit the website?

kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4TElKZ5Z7Z1pdk Admittedly, I did not know that the shortcut had an update. The update came in 2022. facebook.com/dashboardpws/videos/its-the-new-shortcut%EF%B8%8Fbench-from-dash-board%EF%B8%8F-portable-workshop-half-as-long-but-e/4959411934147482/ You can find the video on Facebook if you are interested. This video clearly shows that the original shortcut did not integrate both sets of legs. The detached leg was a deal breaker for me, so I never looked into it again. July 24th, 2024, price proof. web.archive.org/web/20240724111941/www.dashboardpws.com/products/portable-workbenches Prices change, but the proof can be found on web.archive.org/ You should try it sometime before you think you know what you are talking about. Feel free to find another creator to serve your needs. Thanks

appreciate the video, i was about to sell them on ebay which is where i found them for 299.99 ,but i found that i was able to put and watch full movies in full color, as well as certain APK’s will work as side loaded, but it is a limited capability and availability… but answering calls, watching movies and notifications gave me the push to keep and i wear regularly mostly the movie and downloaded YTvideos to a 32 gb max sd card but i have like 5-6 filled with my fav videos & movies… like i watched honest thief for the last hour and a half before i got home just moving around the city.. so it can be used in a certain way….

A beginner with quite the budget i might say. The price of these four machines combined could feed a person for a year xD I see in one of the comments that you struggle with which to use. Zeta and Festool are for professional use, they are faster, the zeta taking the cake with their clamex joining system. Festool and Mafell both have their respectif joining system but they are light years away in terms of efficiency when it comes to the clamex system. The DDF40 is a great tool and good value due to how cheap round dowels are but they arent near as strong the dominos from Festool. Zeta is for professional use only (clamex and tenso being super expensive, biscuits are cheap too, but if you have a DDF40 might as well use it) Mafell for personal in-house (round dowels being cheaper and in-house projects not requiring as much assembling-disassembling and moving parts left anr right around the house) The Festool is an all rounder (Great for the strength of the domino false tenon system and the inexpensive price of the dominos) These are my opinions only.

I was checking out Festool's new fence for the OF1010 and your video on it showed up on my KZbin feed. Looking at your channel, I quickly recognized that you really, uhm, like tools, to say the least. But, why don't you have any hand tools? Veritas (Lee Valley) and Lie Nielsen Toolworks have wonderful hand tools. I will suggest Lie Nielsen's 5-1/2 Jack plane for starters... You can thank me later. ;)

I cannot argue that point. It is a shame, as I have had no issues with my impact wrenches and ratchets. If Milwaukee had come out with a track saw and dust extractor years ago, it might have been well worth it to deal with one weak link: the 12-inch miter saw. Issues like this led me to the Festool brand. That being said, I have been pondering how to part ways with tools like the Milwaukee miter saw, but I have yet to come up with an option I am comfortable with.

You can use any 1/4-inch, 8-mm, or 1/2-inch router bits. The OF 1400 comes with those collet sizes. Festool offers a new 1/4 inch router set, but it costs $299.00. Cheaper kits can be found on Amazon.

I've never caught the delta pin on anything I've ever worked with, so I promise it's not a concern. I initially bought the Festool to give me the additional ability to work on renewing my headlights after watching a sedge video. I've not completed that task yet, although I have the sponge pads and polishing solution. I'm currently building contoured live edge shelves and shaker cabinet doors for a bathroom vanity base. The soft pad allows me to get into contours of the shelf edges. The delta allows me to get into the shaker door corners. When I'm rounding over the edges, while still using the round pad, I actually switch over to the delta mode and turn the speed setting down to one. The round pad does not spin, but utilizes the same sanding function as the delta pad, but different form factor because you neither need the direct gear drive or random orbital mode for slight rounding of edges. What you want is the contouring ability and dust collection. Nothing works like the RO90 when you need it.

I recommend that you get the Festool boom-arm for your dust extractor - it makes for ideal hose and cable management, keeping them both out of the way, coming over your head and off of both the floor and worktable. It's great for the tracksaw as well, for the same reason. The RO125 is completely redundant if you have the RO150. The RO90 V the Milwaukee - you need three tools to replace the RO90...but one is not available from Milwaukee (no geared option), plus a purpose built Systainer to keep everything together and protected.

There's more difference between the Basic and Ultra than the top. The Ultra has the front extrusion machined for rail clamps to allow for vertical clamping as well as the ability to add-on the side and front extensions. Be careful as well - the Valchromat is slightly thicker than the MDF option, so don't be tempted to mix and match unless you're happy packing the MDF to match the Valchromat in thickness.

Good Job. I just had a buddy do mine for $100 and got the pump for $150. , the needle was slow to move after fill ups recently, and the last start before it died, took a little longer crank than usual. Glad it failed on my driveway and not in the street

Sup brother, quick question for you. I’m looking to get the ripping blade. Do you notice a considerable difference between it and the standard SYS 50 blade? Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and the fam! Cheers from Chicago!
@daddysharespace
@daddysharespace 20 күн бұрын
Merry Christmas to you too. I just tested the ripping blade against the stock blade and there is a difference. If you can afford it I would get it. That being said the saw felt like it was cutting faster with the ripping blade which made me instinctively speed up the cut which did produce similar drag to the stock blade if you push it too fast. I think that is the byproduct of this being a battery-powered saw. Personally, I think the battery life will be improved if you use the ripping blade for ripping.

I love my 90. I have the rotex 150 and the ets 150/3 also but reach for the 90 most of the time. They are amazing for doing any face frame work on cabinetry.

I had all three Rotex models. I found I just wasn't reaching for the 125 very often so I sold it. Honestly, If I could only choose one, It would be the 90 as thats the one I reach for all the time. But when it comes time to quickly sanding down large stock, nothing beats the 150!

Also, another accessory is the very thin triangular attachment that allows you to get under tight spaces that the traditional triangular pad shown does not. I have it, have not used it yet but you can not rotate the paper for maximum effect like you show here.

One of the things I appreciate about you is your in-depth take on tools and reviews. I recently bought this and I learned from you what I had not known so thanks. I’m older and I do find it a bit awkward to use one handed so I try to clamp in an unobstructed way as much as possible. But it’s worth it as it’s a great tool. Actually the first Festool I have purchased due to its uniqueness and abilities. I have the triangle Milwaukee and was considering the round orbit and went through the same thought process as you before plunging into the Festool. The absence of dust collection on the Milwaukee was a big factor but there is no comparison otherwise (except for battery portability). Thanks again and enjoy your holiday season.

You ever think about adding extrusion to the front and back of your big custom MFT table? So it’s kind of like the Festool MFT. Do you see any pros to that?
@daddysharespace
@daddysharespace 10 күн бұрын
I considered it later after I learned about aluminum extrusions. It would add additional functionality. That being said for my use case a redesign would be a better option as opposed to adding it to my existing table. When I look at the cost it makes me consider one of the prebuilt options because of the engineering that is included in the high price.

I have the Festool Kapex ks 120 reb miter saw that needed repair just at 3 years, it cost me $120.00 for parts and labor, but took 2 months to complete. The issue was when you have tall stock, the rubber dust collector was sucked up into the blade... this was the first time this has ever happened to me, and it will be the last.
