They last like 3 to 5 years in my experience. Mostly due to the air and other non-condensibles trapped in the lineset

That header was built way wrong but it’s not a load bearing wall so who cares. Good for you but I’d always use nails for flex, that’s a shop and you have access to an air hose and you can rent a nail gun for cheap! But Great job guy!

Umm tbf the reason for nails is in case it bends over it won't just break and that it's faster. It should be fine as long as you use the right length and they're galvanized

Now you don't even have to use the jack you could just leave it down far enough for only him to be able to hook up to it and it be high enough you don't have to make it go up
