You're welcome to order from Uganda, it just takes a lot longer to instal, because most of our tools have to be picked up from Australia, and then brought into Uganda. Not sure if Uganda will permit that.

A first flush diverter is useless when fitted to the top of a wet system vertical riser. When it rains, the first flush will still be in the downpipe and the first flush will only fill with the settled water in the riser. Also look at 0:30, just how much water is lost every minute? The video is laughable.😂

I've got a similar setup for my house with a different installer and now that you mention it, it makes sense the first flush wouldn't work as intended. Still, when I clean it out there is a decent amount of leaves and debris in there.

@@kevildub Another problem is with subsurface wet system pipes retaining a lot of muck during low rainfall when there is insufficient velocity to flush most sediment up the tall vertical riser, the primary reason why people have issues with wet systems. If you are fortunate enough to have a low point where you can occasionally drain the subsurface pipe, it still unnecessarily entails a wasteful maintenance regime. The vertical riser could easily (and more professionally) be 100mm (4 1/2") lower at the apex to provide more head pressure (or maybe even allow a leaf diverter to be fitted) and better angled to also allow a flap valve to be fitted to prevent mosquitos accessing and breeding in the standing water.

@@alwayslooking701 pretty sure I have a low point drainage spot in one of the storm water pits. There's a cap blocking off this pipe and I've always wondered why it was there 🤣. Might look at draining this out. I haven't run into any issues in about 5 years with the stormwater and rainwater tank system fortunately.

The pump is connected to a low drain valve that draws the worst quality water from the tank. Inflowing water will also resuspend sediment and generate air bubbles around the valve that are then sucked into the pump when the water level is low. Common mistakes that have no place in an instructional video.

It is still a charged system with a vertical riser and the same problems that all charged systems have. Puffery changes nothing.

What's with the unlagged cold water copper pipes exposed to full sun? It is not compliant. Also, why plumb the downpipe as an unscreened wet system pipe? It is better plumbed as a dry system downpipe fitted with a reachable leaf diverter to prevent mosquitoes breeding in the standing water.

My tank has two leaf filter baskets, I can only remove one, the other has the inlet pipe so low, the basket can't come out. I clean it as best I can, but it's difficult to do a good job without removing it and giving it a good wash.
