The manager made an accurate assessment, but forwards did tend to complain quite a lot, and that shows a weakness. Walton are a side who don't like dealing with a more physical game, and Harrow Borough proved that. Hendon do tend to up their game, or lower levels depending on the quality of opposition. Clearly, they saw the weaknesses in Walton. They failed to deal with the latter onslaught, because they allowed Niko to gain possession and he won't lose it. Defence seemed to be chasing the ball, but not doing anything to make Hendon work harder. Only way to counter the Hendon attack was to sit deeper, anticipate passes, and crowd out any player with the intentions of receiving a pass. Walton were chasing players who rely on their athletism and speed to gain an advantage, so chasing wasn't wise. Anyway, they had enough chances to have already been 3 or 4 up by then. Hendon were fortunate, but Walton don't have strength in depth to rival the top 2, and lack the physical side to compete with the likes of AFC Totton. Hungerford and Walton are very similar, but have potential for next season.

Next season hopefully the refs will be better. Can’t tell if Eddie just needs some confidence or this level of play is just miles above the isthmian south east. Big up the swans, don’t forget Hendon this season has beaten some proper sides like oldham and Weymouth. To go and get a point here is a good result if we set the playoff disappointment aside. Sometimes we should enjoy football game by game and forget the “bigger picture”. ❤ 🦢

I can still naively hope for a playoff spot but I don’t think it would be the worst to spend another year in step 3. Totton and Hendon also look like such difficult away opponents at the minute. An absolute disgrace to the game. I couldn't comprehend during the Livestreams how the Ref was so tragically bad, I could see his errors from Minnesota ffs. You'd expect after a few errors in favor of Hanwell he'd switch up the 50/50 calls in our favor like most refs do but he was giving objectively wrong decisions their way. I saw a post game interview with the Hanwell manager saying that his team deserved the win... how? I never thought any corruption could trickle to the 7th tier but this gives me some suspicion. Might have very well lost us a spot in the playoffs but we should still believe. Up the Swans.
