Something I keep being reminded of that I just wanted to come back here and discuss is whether or not your choices matter in deltᴀrune. They do. They obviously do. There’s already a Weird Route and will likely be another one later on, even if not in every Chapter. You have to CHOOSE to do the Weird Routes, you have to CHOOSE to fight the Secret Bosses, you have to CHOOSE what your Thrash machine looks like, you have to CHOOSE what Castle Town gets called. Toby never said your choices don’t matter. SUSIE says that, just like how Flowey says the Genocide Route is the only path through the game. TOBY, meanwhile, said in the Chapter 1 FAQ from when the demo first launched that “There’s only one ending, but your choices still matter because the ending isn’t important, there’s just something else you need to do along the way” (Paraphrased)

What I feel like what could be the explanation for the "1 ending...?" could be one *main* ending that's supposed to happen, the prophecy, and possibly 2 broken endings, one defying the prophecy in question, and the other doing the bare minimum of the prophecy, like *not* banishing the Angel's Heaven Also the idea of Chapter 4 being in the same day as the night of Chapter 3 sounds like a great idea that could happen

I started day one and when getting first units over 80 i started a thing where i would stop right at 88 to the confusion some people, I was thinking i wouldn't miss out on free exp and the last 2 levels are mostly inconsequential while having huge cost of exp so good right, I eventually got my first unit to 89 after i think nearly 3yr, hard remember but eventually i gave up on silly lv88 cap i put on myself cause by time first unit got to 89 i already had most my roaster at 80+ lol

one thing that you forgot is that at the end of the dark world segments in chapter 2, you can actually go back into the classroom and you will see temmie sitting there alone. interacting with her will show how many eggs you have collected so far (i think it will show 2 eggs even if you've already put the eggs in asgore's fridge and san's egg basket but im not sure about that)

I really don’t think that every weird route will involve corrupting a part member and making them kill someone. For one, it’s too repetitive, and also it completely skips over the second part of the weird route, where Spamton takes over Queen’s mansion. I think they’ll be more generally corruptive and sequence break-y, instead of them all being murderous. It just seems more interesting that way, to me.

But there's one thing about the twisted sword, you have to not equip the thorn ring to Noelle, if you equip it to her you don't get to keep it

i cant actually think of a gacha game without some sort of level system. even for games where it's only really relevent in the beginning, it serves as a simple progression system before you have to delve into the more complicated ones

I don't remember Spam ever saying that (but my memory is really bad so) but like, he is sort of a puppet and it would probably make sense for it to be something like that. As for the who's the Roaring Knight thing, I think it'd be funny if it was just Frisk (Undertale's protag). Like ik they're in different universes but I can imagine them going like "Damn this isn't my au... Maybe stabbing the ground will help!" and accidentally made the Dark Worlds

the thing with every sibling being MIA reminds me slightly of how, in undertale, chara is relegated to invisible ghost status and is actively gone while asriel still gets to be around and present as flowey

My theory is the game theory. Ralsey is flowey(optional) or flowey equvalent. He wants us to play. He has all of this figured out and planed out. He knows kriss. Together they are playing you. yknow, i had a thought. what if the underground in undertale is a dark world? hear me out. its already pretty dark down there, we can save and load at the sparkles (something we can only do in the dark world in deltarune) implying that our time manipulating powers are exclusive to dark worlds, monsters cn only use magic in the dark world in deltarune, if the underground were a dark world this would make sense, the barrier requires seven light worlder souls to close it, if it were made by seven human mages, it would basically be a giant dark fountain right??? i mean it even looks similar, with the shapeshifty colours and all. and we also emerge into a light world, where we dont really see everyones faces, just their shadows. what you said about toriel, Asgore rudy and his wife already having been to a dark world made me think maybe they were in the undertale as a dark world? i know this is breaching into fanfic territory, but SOMETHING has to connect these two games aside from characters. also toby apparently came up with deltarune BEFORE undertale so thats gotta impact the story somehow
