I never even knew I had hooded eyes until a few years ago. Mine are like yours; not fully hooded. I always applied eyeshadow the way you are doing it, just because to me it looked better. I really never understood why until I figured out that my eyes were hooded. It makes a big difference!

That’s why I refuse to wear a liquid liner in my water lines. You look gorgeous and really put together. I just can’t be bothered with any discomfort related to makeup or fashion. It always bleeds into my eye and outside the eye, and causes problems. I much prefer a pencil or even a shadow as a liner because it’s much softer, gives you a lot of wiggle room and color options but doesn’t flake, break down in areas, feather into crevices and fine lines. I do like how you didn’t carry it completely across the bottom lash, but kept it right at the corner though. Also, for those with dry skin, I would suggest tapping products onto the skin, patting if you will versus swiping it across because you get a much more even application, and more pigment but you also aren’t so likely to get that dry skin pulled up and showing beneath the makeup, making quite the appearance when you are otherwise having a good makeup day. It can cause product to pill to which is my biggest pet peeve.

That shadow eye look is gorgeous. I don’t know why so many people run away from cool tone eye shadows when I think they look so good on most women, especially those with fair to light skin tones. Most beauty creators make it out like everyone should be going to very warm gold tones despite their skin color and undertone and it does many a disservice. Same with using a shimmer past a certain age or only using a matte in the crease when satin shadows and other finishes can look really good too. We as consumers and makeup lovers just need to remember these suggestions are just guidelines and not law of the land with makeup. I think we forget that. If you like something and it doesn’t fit into the over saturated social media beauty platform, do it anyway! ❤😂

That’s a bronzer rather than a shadow contour and I think creams or liquids look much better on those of us middle age and beyond-even if you go back and set it with a powder to intensify it or lock it down. I think people get confused by contour vs bronzer since one is to shape and add shadows and one is to shape and add a sun kissed look. Although bronzing can accomplish the same look, they are totally different things with totally different shading.

U can also just wash your face/eyes with Johnson & Johnson baby soap. Great for cleaning in between eyelashes
