Needs better road contact by tires, more grip surface and tread width. No specs on motor wattage and lithium battery. Quality of build is excellent.

That distance of 20 miles is a lie when having one battery, can"t ride in rain since the scooter has no rear fenders,, otherwise the whole back of the scooter gets totally thrashed with mud and mine they only sent one mirror and no one will sell me another mirror.

The issue with this one is if you’re on the heavy side it’s not for you unless you’re only going to roll on flat surfaces with no variation. Excellent on hard surfaces but so much on grass that is uneven.

To stay lightweight these chairs require specialized lithium ion batteries. This unfortunately increases the cost of replacement batteries.

Nous sommes désolés, nous n'avons pas de personne francophone capable de les créer. Allumez d’abord sous-titres/CC en appuyant sur le bouton CC. Sélectionnez ensuite la forme Gear (paramètres) dans la vidéo, sélectionnez Sous-titres/CC et il devrait y avoir une option de traduction automatique qui vous permet de lui faire traduire les légendes en français !

Correction: The Battery pack can indeed be removed and charged seperately, not unlike the battery packs from the GoGo series but a bit larger!

Can the AC power supply be used on both 120 Volts ( USA ) and 220 volts ( Foriegn ) electricity. I am buying this for traveling in and out of the USA where most foreign counties run on 220 - 240 volts mains power.

How does this chair do when it comes to going up curbs or going up or down steep hills?

It will do low curbs and moderately steep hills fine, but like all wheelchairs, it is fairly limited in what it can climb. Typically, how well a chair does on those depends on how large the wheels are and how much ground clearance it has. This power chair has typically sized wheels for a travel powerchair but rather small for a standard sized wheelchair. If you are needing a power chair for rougher terrain or places with steep curbs (steep hills will be an issue for nearly any power mobility), we would recommend a center wheel drive style power chair instead like the Jazzy 600 ES (www.broadwayhomemed.com/jazzy-600-es.html)

It folds up more like a manual wheelchair, so it doesn't lock in place. So long as its placed in a vehicle on its side, it would not unfold.

The only thing i dont like is if you left this outside there easy to steal you only need somthing metal to stick into the key hole and it turns the scooter on i only found this out as my kids did while messing around as i took my keys with to stop them playing with it and the sods manged to turn it on

We understand your concern about the security of power scooters. It's definitely a good idea to keep them secured and out of sight when not in use. A possible solution would be to disconnect the batteries temporarily and maybe take one of them with you if you can. Thanks for sharing your experience-it’s a reminder for all of us to be cautious!

Yes, and they make most of their keys to fit every scooter, so anyone could rip your scooter off if they wanted an upgrade! Can you do an off-road with inclines demonstration? I hear the motor gets snagged up and some people take off the skid plate to help it go over stuff. Not cool for Pride to advertise it as having a 4.5” when it’s only 1.57’ at the motor. It needs bigger tires!

There are certainly options with larger wheels. Our suggested style for rougher terrain are the center wheel drive style wheelchairs like the Jazzy EVO (www.broadwayhomemed.com/jazzy-evo-613-sla.html). On the other hand, the Ally is specifically built to be lightweight and foldable, so it makes certain compromises. Always need the right power chair for the right need of course!

I bought one about two months ago. The only problem I have run into is when I get to the driveway to our right (is too slanted and i feel like i WILL flip over). I don't know if it will because I get off and walk it across the driveway. And going to the left of our apartment a tree has BROKEN thru the sidewalk and the chair gets stuck because it's NOT HEAVY enough and I have to walk it across again. Otherwise, I HAVE been recommending it to people at SeaWorld, Dr office, and bus stop. I'm having issues with HUMANA HMO reimbursing me.

Their should be a place for a spare tire. These tires are only sold by Pride and you can not replace these tires from any other manufacture. Its a safety issue.
