Home of champions.....Paulsboro Red Raiders! Class of '88!

Somerville’s kicker made his first 4 PAT’s of the season than suffered a nasty groin pull. He continued to play on the field but could not kick. That’s the only reason they always went for 2. He finally was well enough to kick in the Mainland game. Another problem with going for 2 in that situation was our best receiver #8 Rodriguez severly strained his groin against Ocean City…he’s our Wildcat QB. He was literally hobbling. Oh and By the way if he was healthy he would have been on Blum all night he is our best cover guy. I think the Mainland coaches recognized this and exploited Somerville’s weakness. Great job by those guys. A class organization. Wish them well on Sunday.

No one's talking about the clock didn't even start on time so the player would never have enough time to get the shot off !

It is everywhere NOW! It’s GLOBAL and the fact that Camden didn’t have the stones to issue a forfeit shows to the world that they have no class.

Also the ref missed the 3 steps (travel) on the guy that took the next to last shot.

The funny thing is Camden has had so many bad calls go against us for years and d there was no outrage like this is. Also, Camden is a better team and had a bad night… if they were to play again it may be a blowout… Not to take anything away from Manasquan. But also Manasquan had to leave in the first half and didn’t play well in the second half to hold that lead but if you look at the optics… you understand why there is national outrage in this went viral. If it were the other way around, this would not go viral because it’s been the other way around against Camden in the past.

Manasquan chose not to play basketball the whole 4th quarter . That’s not talked about enough u have to knock a juggernaut out you don’t let them smell blood. Watching the videos over and two things definitely happened on that last possession there was a made shot and there definitely was a missed travel call before the 3 pointer was shot .
@teronmurray272510 ай бұрын
So we’re not gonna talk about Manasquan head coach’s 4th qrt game plan that failed miserably. They scored 0 points and the 4th. Real Warriors don’t play with there food!!! That decision to hold the ball put the game in a refs hands and that’s something you never want to do.
@d2sportsnetwork10 ай бұрын
Yeah, that was touched on the day before. That’s a point that was made. That game plan backfired.

You do a great job of tackling a tough subject and, also, commentating games. I happen to be a local coach who played recently in Camden, and I watched the feed after. You did a really nice job. This is going to have to just be a tough lesson. I THINK everyone is upset bc the call was overturned incorrectly. If the call had been wrong from the start and the refs stuck with it, we probably wouldn’t have this conversation. There’s human error, just like (maybe) starting the clock a bit late or anything else in a game. And let’s also be honest: Manasquan didn’t score in the fourth, aside from the contested final shot. There are things that they could have and should have controlled to change the outcome. We seemingly can’t get past the idea that the right call was overturned for the wrong one. Everyone feels for Manasquan and that’s a really tough lesson to stomach. In the end, the Camden players didn’t do anything to deserve public ire, and their season shouldn’t be cut short bc of some sense of moral empathy. Also, I will address the fact that race has been, at least in some circles, brought into this. It’s disgusting that we resort to such conversations. There is nothing insidious here. Refs made an incorrect call and will likely beat themselves up over this forever. Let’s remember, as the Manasquan coach said, that we’re talking about kids here. Let’s leave all the mudslinging and dog whistles for election season. Keep doing a great job, and I’d love to chat hoops with you one day if the opportunity arose. All the best.

Love Averett here in Baltimore, definitely doesn't get the credit he deserves. He has the physical ability and is constantly improving as he gets more experience. I love MP too but wouldn't be surprised to see Averett take over as our #2 in 2022 if he stays on a new contract, which I really hope he does. Regardless, wishing him the best! 🤞
