Current price for the pair is €399.99 (down from €499.99). If you're on the lookout for a 5.1 home cinema system, then these floor-standers are in a bundle for €799.99. Looks like great value. Compare with a similar Q Acoustics set up, which will set you back €1200. Might just pull the trigger on the 5.1 set up.

I firmly believe that cost doesn't mean much if you enjoy the sound. I did love "To live and die in LA." I am also a Wang Chung fan. You have to try "Thief" also from Michael Mann. Staring James Caan. The music is by Tangerine Dream. Very cool. Thanks.

We must have the same taste in music, I have Thief soundtrack playing very low in one of my other videos also a big Tangerine Dream fan. I've been trying to get my hand on the Keep Soundtrack but it's gone very expensive as it's quite rare.

Thank you, your spot on but I do like messing around and building stuff so I'll probably do a few small upgrades to improve sound quality and a couple of speaker builds for the channel to show people that you don't need to spend a fortune to enjoy the hobby. Ive already ordered a few speaker components for a build so keep an eye out as I'll be making another video soon with the shopping list.

Sounds great! Don’t upgrade, your focus will move away from the music and more to the ‘equipment’, your enjoyment and bank balance will progressively reduce. Instead, buy a bunch of good second hand records, clean em, pour a drink and immerse yourself!

I'll tell you how turntable feedback from vibration can be eliminated by the manufacturer. Vibration would stop if the manufacturer started building their plinths from quality material instead of cheap plastic, which vibrates more than a $ex toy with new batteries?

Exactly and this is why these cheaper belt driven turntables are out performing most of the cheap direct drive turntables because of the solid MDF plints on most of the belt driven Turntables coupled with rubber feet do a great job at Damping. If you take a look for example the sl1200 mk2 what made it so good was the rubber lining with quality materials it was constructed from. A simple isolation platform is in my opinion one of the best cost effective upgrades for anyone

Nice video. Good info. What are you thoughts on using Sorbothane? Thank you.

If you can afford it I'd say it could be a great material to use. Plenty of speaker builders using it. If you sandwich a sheet of it between two pieces of 18mm MDF coupled with some acoustic spikes you'd have a good simple isolation platform. Having your turntable on an isolation platform is probably one of the best upgrades you can do
