Great video! It's awesome to see someone tackling a transmission rebuild and show their process. And I know I'm a few years late to this video, but I didn't see if you had installed the oil gutter that scavenges oil slung off first gear. Without it, the output bushing and real seal will become oil starved. Also, you didn't mention if you had to get new select fit shims and snap rings.

Sorry know this is old. Hopefully you reply. So if i didn't want quick release i would just need short hub and then mount the wheel where you put the red quick release piece in at correct?

Thanks so much for this. It was exactly the fix my jeep needed. Struggled with getting the clip off and the new switch back in for a bit but got it in eventually 😅

Just finished doing this job using your videos (along with AHC's) and just wanted to say THANK YOU for making this series. I also did it on jack stands and for those wondering how to get the subframe passed the jack stand, just use another small jack (I used a scissor jack) on the oil pan. Took a while to start up, but no issues whatsoever. Car shifts like absolute butter. Make sure to do it right yall; Hondabond, Honda Super High Temp Grease, OEM throwout bearing, and change rear main seals while you're in there. Best of luck!

Great to see it’s almost complete and well done with a awesome looking engine bay. What ECU did you go with? We have a H22A in a Peugeot 205 over here in 🇬🇧 and have a turbo ready for installation this winter. Still pondering the ECU conundrum though 🤔 Your thoughts would be very much appreciated.

Your engine bay looks amazing! It was good catching up at work the other day. I finally have some time to watch a bunch of KZbin videos tonight. yours was first on my list. Also the short clip of the rock band sounds really good. have you thought of throwing up some music videos from the shows on this channel?

Matt, you’re so close to having a really fun reliable car. I’m hoping you’ll have it soon! Your Frankenstein build has been my favorite car build to watch. Even though you steel parts from Preludes. 😂😂

What did you end up doing with the open space in valve cover?
@kristianalexander27422 ай бұрын
The quality of the oil pan was fine, you just didn't factor in the thickness of the gasket.
@kristianalexander27422 ай бұрын
You should have also flipped it upside down on your stand to install the gasket. Not sure why you'd do it right side up when it's on the stand.
@kristianalexander27422 ай бұрын
Wouldn't your oil pan gasket have given you that few mm of clearance?

How did you got the subframe out? Because you had the jack stand supporting the engine.
@MtGarage3 ай бұрын
I moved the subframe out as much as possible, then put a jack under the motor to lift it slightly, removed the jack stand, then slid the subframe out past where the jack stand was and put the stand back in and lowered the jack. It was a bit tedious but it worked

I know it's been a hot minute since this video has come out, but I'm just curious as to what supporting mods you utilized for the pump install (primarily if you upgraded the wiring, if there was an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and if the vehicle was using the stock ecu or an aftermarket one)? It appears my pump has gone in my sr20det bluebird and I've got a bosch high pressure pump to replace it, just not sure what else I might need
