Cool demo! I really enjoy these mobile types of synths. Looks painful in practice!
@SadiquecatPlus6 күн бұрын
Far from it :D Well the first generation was tedious to work with for a few reasons, but the 20 and 30 series have stuff worked out and they're one of the most pick-up and play synths out there. Punching in notes / rythm is easy, the most annoying part of these things would be you bump in limitations (sound design, key/scales, voices/instruments), guess that's the trade-off for cheap and easy.

@@SadiquecatPlus For me I'd want to practice on a proper MPC all of these devices are something I would of enjoyed in high school learning the EDM craft.

@@TradieTrev I highly recommend the PO-33 KO, if you don't get any of these just get that one. Trust me, it's an incredible device.

@@RetroPlus I second this, the Po-33 is an amazing sampler and sampler workflow! There is Koala sampler and a Pocket Operator app for google pixels. Also worth checking out is Flip by Andrew Huang, but we're diverging from the Po vibe.

metal fusion was dope
@SadiquecatPlus15 күн бұрын
I didn't try out the metal fusion series, just got back into it from the good old first gen nostalgia. Kinda miss the "character" the bayblades had, these all feel same same on a visual / idea perspective. But damn metal clinging and hearing the VRRRRRR and the Xtreme propulsion is cool!

Fun fact, I recorded this at 240fps. KZbin made it 60 (understandably and expectedly so). I was curious if it would compress it to 120fps these days, guess not. Would have been cool to be able to on demand slow it down to 25% and still have it buttery smooth!

Brilliantly done. It's so rare to see those retrospective videos that showcase someones complete journey with a music making workflow or instrument all in one place. I only found you because of that recent video where you linked to your sample dump. Those things like "Banging Rock and Metal Pancakes" and ones with found sound are always the most interesting to me.

Hey, thanks for tuning in and taking the time to share this message! Making music sampling what's around us, or sampling the radio is fun! These days I kind of forgot about that process but I should get back into it! Was a time I wanted to do a DJ set of only field-recordings too! So many projects, so little time x') If you're interested, some tracks are available as free download here sadiquecat.bandcamp.com/album/po-33-k-o There's also some more recent music, but only one with "found sound"s might be "Air-Turbulence" in the album. Cheers!

FB has a patreon challenge where every month there's a few samples to turn into music. Here it was the first time, and it was the percussion loop we hear at the start. I'l modify the description to clarify. Thanks for tuning in and you rock the po-33! Much respect, honoured to see you here!

There was a farily big obstacle that I set my keyboard to Dmajor. Then used the chord mode and chords seem to be pre-defined and where in Cmajor or Aminor x') That threw me off trying to use notes in another key than the original chords. I eventually gave up and used only chrod mode to play instruments and it sounded good xD Thanks for watching and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the second half! :3
