Great video but _very_ depressing. Thanks for making and sharing it. I commuted for over a decade into DC and spent many hours of my life at Union Station. I will add some background: the heyday really seemed like 2013-2018. (and probably the entire 2000s, but I didn't use it as much before 2008) By 2019, even before the shock of the pandemic, it felt like the vibe was slowing down and many places weren't as busy, with the exception of say, Chipotle - who had to open two locations to serve Union Station! Like the Legal Seafood on the second floor...it had been really busy for a while when it opened in 2018, but I remember noticing around say, Christmas 2019, that it wasn't as busy. Another thing is that, throughout the 2010s, more and more local/regional vendors were replaced by chains. Unfortunately I can't remember most of them. In 2009 the food court felt like it was mostly local. For example, the Dunkin Donuts was an Asian guy who made smoothies who I bought from many times. The last local place in the basement was the DC half smoke/hot dog stand, by late 2019 they were replaced by a national Poke chain. I wonder if the local places would have stuck it out longer, or returned sooner. I see the East Street Cafe is still there...not amazing cuisine but I'm sure I ate there at least 20 times! I really wonder if it can ever come back no matter how they renovate it. People have changed. It was basically a mall, and malls, other than some exceptional huge ones...are just not making it these days.

I went to this hotel back in October of 2017 with a now ex. We went for my birthday which is a week before Halloween. It was something how we were hanging in the packed bar one moment then went to our room and I remember leaving the room for ice around 12 am it was completely deserted and eerie. Not even a clerk at the desk. I had a feeling that this place definitely has some haunted history. It was cool!

Mainy because working in home health nursing home history we are taught the signs of death. Why don't I tell my doctor? Because symptoms never happen once I get to the doctor as of to make a lier out of me. Very frustrating.

I actually bought this crap for my sons teacher as a Christmas gift... I personally think is not worth the money .... for 5 sec of music... and those ridiculous pieces of chocolates...
