Rob just doesn’t have any self confidence and he does nothing at the start of matches. Way too passive to be pulling with any of the top guys at the moment. Something negative going on in that head….

Yeah I agree this is the problem with arm wrestling. Anytime you have that human element in the refereeing it can literally go from a guy winning a match to losing a match. Anyone can just watch this video and play the first round and put it at .5 speed. Allen pins Rob. A great example of this was the Devon versus Genadi match. If that first round was called correctly Devon would have won that match. But instead we all know what happened... It's funny how tennis is the only sport that has eliminated this problem.

Does anyone remember back in the day when Dave Chaffee and RVJ had a small rivalry with each other when Dave was fairly new to the sport? I would love to see Dave and RVJ pull again seeing how they're both in the twilight of their careers.

It would be a mismatch. Dave is at least 20kg heavier than Rob and usually competes with super heavies. And I wouldn't say that either man is in the 'twilight' of their career. Both in their 40s and both having competed against some of the top guys around the world. They both are going through a difficult patch which has more to do with their personal lives than their armwrestling ability imo.
