I bought my 1999 Toyota Camry V6 with a five speed manual transmission brand new - it has 400K miles on it. NO rust (Arizona car), No leaks, No lights on - no issues what so ever, runs like new - still shiny - it climbs up the mountains in Arizona like other cars were sitting still

It's not useful to anyone watching your videos, if you don't show "You" actually doing the work for us to understand the process.. the crankshaft pulley on the 89' Camry video is not easy to remove!! It gave you issues trying to remove it in the 3rd video, so you ended the video. the next video starts off with the pulley off ?? How Did you remove it? Do you need a special tool? Any info will help.

Hey there. I'm in southern Calif, came across this clean looking 93 camry so I purchased it mainly because it was a v6 stick shift 5 speed. I knew it was a rare find. In looking I'm realizing that they are in fact very rare. I has only 106k miles but being 30 years old it has some issues. Oil leaks and a clutch that is starting to slip. The timing belt is the original. Your thoughts? Worth putting money into it? I'm not a mechanic so I would have to pay full price for this work.

@toomanytoyotas2301 Жыл бұрын
I'd say worth it, they don't build anything like these anymore and as you can see by mine which has 286k miles they go for awhile when maintained, I'm actually doing the clutch job on mine right now and yeah it is a really big job

When I was in high school in the late 1990s I had my mom's old Really rare 89 Camry DX All-Trac sedan. I say it was rare because I literally Have never seen a non wagon A/T. It was ridiculous Li hard to find Rear end suspension parts since most were designed for the wagon so I had to Use ES 250 Parts. It was maroon Inside and out with a factory installed flip up sunroof. The tweed DX seats Were nicer than the Seats in the base model which Were Vinyl with cloth inserts But not as nice as the Teddy bear fur Covered seats in the LE. Since my DX had a 5 speed It came with the tachometer. Living Here in Miami Beach I have course didn't have any rust issues And I really had no need for the all trac system either. The only thing it seemed to do was to Zap Power From the engine during Our everyday Afternoon downpours. I loved that car and drove it 300 K before selling it To a mechanic at Sears. I took that $2500 And put it down on a brand new 2000 Camry Which when compared to the 89 was like driving a Lexus. That 2000 Camry now has 437k Miles on her And was very recently Put into semi retirement. I have a new 2021 Camry hybrid which is my new daily driver but Between Miami Beach and Gainesville ( About 350 mi) At least 3x a month My 2000 Is always the car of choice. Not only does her original silver metallic Paint still shine Her original engine/transmission Still drive Like new.

yeah if i try to play through any of the cutscenes including the random ones that play as the intro cinematic when loading up its almost 100% likely that the game will crash, skipping them always works except in that one's case, it's not my ps2 either, i tried playing the game on a friends ps2 and the same thing happened, i just really need a new copy of the game

also, i'm thinking getting 2nd place at dennison is what really set that run apart, it makes it so that you have to do one less eve later in the game when they take way longer and instead gain the same rank from an eve that only takes about 5 minutes

@charliemendoza4032
@charliemendoza4032 3 жыл бұрын
It sometimes does it , It goes away and come back at any time while driving. The alternator was a warranty replacement from orielly, and the bench test came out good. When i give it throttle, it goes back to normal charging.
@charliemendoza4032
@charliemendoza4032 3 жыл бұрын
I don't know if its the ecu or the alternator causing this issue. The voltage suddenly drops to between 13.3-13.4 when the cooling fans turn on but when turn off but it slowly climbs back to 14.1-14.2
@toomanytoyotas2301
@toomanytoyotas2301 3 жыл бұрын
@@charliemendoza4032 that drop is normal, cooling fans draw quite a bit. As long as the voltage is between 13.0 and 14.7 the regulator and charging circuit is working. but like i said see if you can measure the voltage while the charge light is on and see if it is below 12.6, if so then the warning circuit is working properly and the alternator itself is intermittently failing. if the voltage is between 13-14.7 while the light is on, insert a backprobe into the lamp circuit pin of the alternator connector and measure voltage from the back of that pin to ground, if the charge sense circuit in the alternator has failed it will read below 12.6V even when battery voltage is above 13. if this is the case you need a new alternator because the charge sense circuit is a non servicable part. Most aftermarket companies like O-reilly and Autozone use poor quality parts when remanufacturing used alternators and its common that the charge sense circuit is faulty on them. Id reccomend getting a Toyota Alternator. This said, even on modern cars the ECU has nothing to do with the charging system, except in some very rare cases where they have made ecus that can actuate an Ac compressor style clutch to limit engine load by partially disengaging the alternator pulley. On cars as old as ours though everything for regulating voltage is built into the alternator assembly
