When I’m exploring, I look for big trees and use a chainsaw to collect leaves. When I get home, I use the leaves to power my power plant and make bio-fuel for the chainsaw. I also built a nearby factory that turns the bio-fuel into green cans for my jetpack, which I prefer because it lasts a long time.

The organic material cannot be generated and does not regrow in the world (unless something is bugged). You can use smart splitters to sort this for you, but when you use your chainsaw or pick things up my hand you will get leaves, wood, and mycelia. Smart splitters can filter those into constructors that produce biomass and biomass can be converted into solid biomass. Once you get into coal and oil power, biomass becomes less important but you should keep it around in case you need chainsaw, jet pack, or vehicle fuel in a pinch.

​ @CookingWithJackDaniels using smart splitters reduces the efficiency by half because the numbers don't work out. Liquid Bio fuel is my favorite jetpack fuel, so this factory also supplies my equipment and "gun shop" factory as the power isn't used anymore.
