Hehehe yes i was clipping for .5 db. I did it on purpose to test it with the preset I normally use to play CCM gigs. Pickups are definitely hotter. I played this guitar for a little tour i did and i honestly felt like the pickups compress too much so they don’t feel too good with high gain lead tones. They Sound good but for me something feels a little off. Just personal preference and also my style of playing

Hey my friend! Honestly the brain of everything is my Line 6 Helix. Sometimes i run it into my preamps but it’s not necessary. Most of the time I run it through the usb and it sounds as good. Other than that you as long as you have a daw and a versatile guitar you can achieve the same results. Years ago I used to record entire albums just with my Fender Strat HSS.

Other than that just a Canon M50 and some $40 lights I found in Amazon. But again with an iPhone you can achieve similar results.

Hey my friend I believe Mainstage is only for apple products so as long as you have a MacBook you can get it. I think is around $30-50

Of course. Honestly i am not doing a lot. I am mainly a guitarist so my setup is basic. My recommendation would be to run your sound libraries out of an SSD drive to avoid CPU load

Is it two keyscape instances and five ominisphere instances ? how your cpu can handle with that ? There a way to share the same instance for more than one channel ?

Hey yes! i use it with a MacBook Pro M2 and all my libraries are in an ssd. Until this day I haven’t had any issues. The other way of doing it is running only one instance of Omnisphere and create all your patch in the multi setting option and I guess map everything there.

Yes, you should be able to either send the VST sound into the nord + using the nord sound or sending the VST sound to mixer + using nord sound.

Yes the way i did it was using a 4 channel mixer. Here i am sending the Nord piano and synth into its own channel, Organ into a separate channel and mainstage into another channel

What interface do you use? I mean routing setup to transform audio to computer? Bass->Presonus Studio -> Scarlett 2i2 -> PC or another audio interface for that, if i understand right how it works

Hey right now i am using the Presonus 1824. This video i only used the Scarlett when i was testing the preamps but normally i use the Warm Audio Preamp into the Presonus as interface. When i tested the Presonus Studio Channel i also used the Presonus 1824 as the interface.

We are about to introduce Stage 4 into out process for keys, but it seems that I will be the only one using the 4 with Mainstage, at least for now. THERE IS A BIIIIG DIFFERENCE between playing a grand piano, a Nord/Yamaha workstation with hammer keys, a $500 controller (even with hammer keys) and a $200 controller with "noodle" keys. And I have played them all. The noodle keys are totally fine for pads, but to "properly" play piano, proper key resistance must exist for proper piano expression. For the longest time, I believed that Nords were overrated, but this opinion changed drastically for two reasons. First, I played a Nord Piano 5 (AMAZING KEYBED, enough resistance to help with piano expression, but soft enough to be able to play for a while). Second, Nord sample quality: whatever alchemy Nord is doing to their samples and electronics, the pianos have an unbelievable ability to cut thru the mix without being harsh (and we used Behringer, Allen & Heath and Yamaha sound boards). The Nord hype is real AND is JUSTIFIED, in my opinion. Technically, Stage 4 on its own has some capacity to behave like a Mainstage setup, but I look forward to integrating Nord and Mainstage for His glory!
