The mistake I was making was selecting the previous sketch (sketch #3) and converting it to a construction line, Instead I needed to select the seed for the mirror in sketch #4. This mistake kept me from being able to use the closed loop selection when creating the loft. I'm glad I worked through it as I was just about to give up. It was a little hard for me to fallow with his setup in that dark theme.

once the split line is patterned, delete the face around it, use 3d sketch and convert entities to form a sketch of the split line surface. delete the surface and use surface fill and pattern 30 times. easy peasy lemon squeezy

For those having trouble, make sure that after you select a close loop you make sure that the loop end points are in the same place by dragging the green points that appear onto the same location

Every time I try to do this, it says the loft can't be completed because it's self-intersection. I just can't get it to work when there's an adjacent edge. Any thoughts?

Did you right click and choose "selection manager" -> "closed loop"? @5:40 I had the same problem and it solved it for me

Very good channel :-) I have a doubt, sometimes I load a FBX model, a car for example, it loads well ... with all its parts, but I can't put independent materials on each part, all the parts always catch me a single material and the same one for the whole model .. I'm a little lost with this .. sorry.
@achillemeyvis78903 жыл бұрын
Select everything and pres material and then unlink material.
@danthedesigner3 жыл бұрын
First, right click on the top level part in your scene tab and select unlink material. If that doesn't work, check to see if all of the parts are listed in the scene tab. Sometime when importing an FBX or OBJ, the parts may merge into one solid. To fix that, try adjusting your import settings or use the "Split Separate Objects" tool. Good luck!

ok I just got keyshot and I'm an ultra newb . Where can I locate the default lighting so I can move it from above my object to below my object. My object is a ceiling louvre so I need the lighting from below.
