U don't need to even tell me as a Nigerian, soon as I looked at your face, I knew u were going to be Nigerian cos i had a friend who looked exactly like u called Kemi. And Cameron was supposed to be part of Nigeria before France took it.

38%?! You’re more Nigerian than some Nigerians in Nigeria. In summary, your root is Nigeria. Other aspects are the usual journey of every human. No one is 100% in reality. Where they start from is their 100%, which they might want to connect to. Example, a 20% Jewish is Jewish.

I have been thinking about starting my own sister locks for some years. I have a niece who has locks and her locks are gorgeous! When done and cared for properly, locks are a beautiful hair-style. My biggest worry for myself is that my hair has became thinner after I reached 20 - 21 years old, after I had my second child (I am 48 yo now) -- I also started getting my first gray hairs at that time, and so I fear that locks may not look good for me. I love and want the look, but I still am uncertain if I should begin locking my hair because of my fine, thinning, and graying hair. I would love advice for us with fine/thin hair. Is the lock-journey possible for us? Or should we accept that we should avoid the lock journey.

Thank you for sharing your story. I've realised that most of us lupus warriors have a similar story of misdiagnosis. It took about 6 years for me to get a proper diagnosis. At some point I went through an unnecessary surgery & I have to live with a scar on my neck. In my long search for a diagnosis, I experienced all the symptoms & my quality of life was really bad. Thank God I am better now & living life to the fullest.

I payed $1000 for the installation of my sister locks with only 6 inches of hair. I wanted mine professionally done. Then retires where $200 to $150 depending who did it. And my hair grows really fast so I can’t go past 4 weeks because my hair grows too fast. After 10 months I payed $325 to do the retightening class, now I know how to retighten my own hair so I don’t have to pay that $200 - $150 every 4 weeks. I’m 3 weeks I will be 1 year into my sisterloc journey and I love it. The process is interesting but I did my research so I new what to expect. And I don’t regret it. Personally I didn’t mind spending the money, I had already plan to take the retightens class and knew how much money I needed to spend to get me to where I am right now. I thought about it for 5 years before I decided to install my sisterlocs. Everyone is different, every hair texture is different, so do your research and decide what’s best for you. Blessings Girlies 😘❤❤

What about people with 3 type black hair and they hate their hair? I hate my 3b-4a type hair. I don't know to do my hair because I've always been the token black girl in constantly white spaces with not many black friends nor friends.I just wish I was white so I can have easy hair and go to a hair stylist to spend like $15 instead of over $100 doe simple styles. Why do white people get a ton of options for hair salons and black salons just rip people like me off? I don't really know how to do my hair. I try really hard but I have health problems that get in the way of doing my hair and it's becoming a bother. Even when I cut my hair short it was actually more work with short hair than my long hair.

Wow! I came across your video because I have micro locs and I also have lupus. I have lupus {sle} and fibromyalgia. I’m 54yrs old. I was diagnosed at age 41. I believe I was misdiagnosed for years. I totally understand everything you mentioned. Especially that pain that wakes you up out of your sleep and the fatigue! Thank you for making this video and bringing awareness to lupus. There are so many people who have never heard of lupus before. 💜💜💜🦋🦋🦋

Thank you so much for that great idea you can just braid loose half way down and interlock the rest great great idea wow. Even if someone knotless braided it for me I’ll just let them braid half way. Making sure the part to hair ratio is on point. Yah bless you and thanks again.
