Is the "h" silent in "ka-whoosh"? I assume it is not silent and that it should be pronounced as it is in the word "whoosh". So in my opinion, people are mispronouncing it when they say "ka-woosh".

Ive seen too many 'retrospectives' or 'video essays' that attribute these type of choices to promotion of military properganda. Its nice to have it on the record that stargate is just a bunch a nerds trying to make the best show they could

The Odyssey really got around, didn't it. The only Earth ship to see action in four different galaxies against four different major enemy powers. The Wraith in Pegasus, the Goa'uld/Lucien Alliance and Ori in the Milky Way, the Ori in Ida and both the Ori and Replicators in the Ori Home Galaxy. Truly lived up to its name.

@@GateWorldDotNet no. I only include on-screen content as canon. The novels all fall under alternate realities to me, as it's the only way all of what happens in them can actually have happened based on what we also see on-screen. They just don't mesh right with the timelines or knowledge of the characters. I.e. SG-1 uses some crazy tech to save SG-10 from the planet in A Matter in Time, but totally forgets it's existence when sitting in Thor's ship watching the Replicators escape a black hole too... But Odyssey goes to Pegasus and gets into a shooting match over a black hole with the Wraith in The Pegasus Project. Ark of Truth has them in the Ori Home Galaxy fighting both Replicators and Ori. Unending has them in Ida (i distinctly recall mentions of the Odyssey being back in the Milky Way now so the Ancient should be stopping the Ori from just telling their troops where to find the ship before they figure out it's the Asgard core attracting them) so they've tangled with the Ori in three galaxies now. And of course the constant encounters with Ba'al and the Alliance in the Milky Way. Thankfully the Replicators had been wiped from our galaxy before the Odyssey came online, so they never fought them here. I am noticing I mixed up in the original comment by saying they encountered the Replicators in Ida though. Need to edit that bit.

Watched the series several times across the years because of the entire SG 1 Team. Atlantis and Universe were nowhere near. There were a bit of weird episodes where some people from other planets were suddenly in love with Carter after like few moments spent together. And kept hoping she and O'Neill will hit it out after one or the other were no longer obstructed by being in the military. But none the less, Stargate SG 1 will remain one of my favourite series and I must say many ideas in the series were way ahead of their time, will not be surprised if many prove to be(come) true.

They were left a shuttle capable of flying but not leaving orbit. They could have easily flown to a warmer climate and returned later.

This is the one role that jarred me to have swapped out. Tori did an amazing job presenting the new Elizabeth Weir to us, but I've often wondered why this actress didn't carry on with the role. After this interview, I think I better understand why it didn't really work out.

The Wraith actors and makeup artists were all amazing. They brought a lot of personality and made each Wraith a bit unique.

With the show getting a soft reboot soon-ish I'd love to see them appear at last as the new villains. Perhaps they've been hiding for millenia in another galaxy and return to the milkyway looking to recolonise it and view us as a threat to their dominance. They return having learned that the acients have died out, the asgard too and that the knox remain neutral. So they decide mankind needs to go as we are the ancients decentants and our technology is advancing too fast. They won't trust us.

I liked the theory that they Furlings were the giants from the episode with Daniel's grandfather. If they live in a different phase, it would make sense that they were never encountered.

The Pegasus Project is in my top five favorite episodes in the franchise. My only gripe is Shepard didn't have a bigger role in it. Yea I know it was SG1 and he wasn't a main character but I think it would have been interesting to explore how him and Mitchell would interact in that situation.

I would love for the furlings to be bigfoot type creatures. With an outpost in the western US. But they have interdimensional travel so most of their race isn't in our universe.
