The first part does explain that I bought it for less than the original price. At a lower price point the product is not bad. At the original price point I think it’s not as good. This is an older video I had and like I said in the beginning I debated putting it up. Some of my recent videos do start really quick with the product. If you haven’t seen them, check them out. Your videos are appreciated as you put the time into them. I had watched your Elementum 2 video, and till half of it( pass 3 min) the knife wasn’t out! As an outdoorsman at 59 it’s frustrating to watch these KZbinrs and their “infantile” unboxing without realizing that people give them audience watching their content! So Having some consideration and respecting people’s time is appreciated as well. Nothing better than being straight to the point! Take care.

I have been trying different video structuring. The videos without my standard intros I found are easier to edit. These videos are the ones that start with a top down view on the product. I’m still working on getting in all the information I think is relevant and not talking too much. Thanks for watching.

I guess you are supposed to flip the left or right pocket inside out to convert it to pillow. That's how it works with most of portable jacket.

That makes sense. I used to have an Eddie Bauer jacket and that one had a pocket in the middle. That middle pocket was used to make it into a small pouch. Thanks for the help.

I think it was limited to about 1000 flashlights made. They may be sold out already. I believe there was no restrictions to purchase but I was at silver level at the time I bought it.

I've seen this advertised as being used as a spanner too, but I'm afraid that would damage or impead its ability to measure accurately. Would you say that's assumption is accurate?

I believe your assumption is correct. The rail where the ruler slides seems pretty thin. With enough pressure there may be bending/deformation. I personally am not going to use it as a spanner. Your instinct was right.

Nice review, I was also looking into buying one, I am a carpenter and wanted something that I can pocket on the go for rough/quick measurements. How is the fit and finish, is it accurate?

The Ruler matches up with my tape measure exactly. I think it is good enough. It said it was Grade 5 Titanium. It looks like a stonewashed finish but it does seem a bit darker than my other Stonewashed EDC items. I did use it at a job I was at to measure some busbar. It worked out great for me. Smallest tick mark on the ruler is 1/16”. There are cheaper options but like with most things EDC this one comes at a higher price.

He has a website but it only opens up for drops. Usually you can’t get any of the previous items dropped on the website. At the shop there is a variety of items. There is drop right now for the Helm V7 coin.

When you look at the button on your dessert warrior versus your other Elementum 2, are they the same height? I got a dessert warrior and I feel like the button is significantly more shallow than on my natural G10 Elementum 2. The dessert warrior feels super sticky and ganked too, like yours was. I'm really bummed about the way the button feels though. I like to open the knife using the button, but it feels way too shallow to me. What do you think about the button depth on the two knives?

I took them both out again to compare. Closed the buttons look the same height. When they are both open the button on the G10 Elementum definitely looks taller. The Dessert Warrior button feels smoother and more flat. The button on the G10 feels a bit more concave. I think it is easier to open with the button on the G10. I was carrying the Dessert Warrior more than the G10 one for a while but even now the G10 still has better action.

@@joec8057 the PPL website is usually only open when there are drops. Pete did say there were some of the Contour Knives at the shop. When I was at the shop in October 2023 there was at least one Skelly that I saw in the display.

I don’t know. The last restock was around September I believe. If I had to guess probably early next year there will be a restock. By that time there might be the next version oh the slingshot with the bands over the top. I do see there is Ultem slingshots in stock. It costs less but not as strong as Ti. I am not a fan of Ultem but might pick something up in Ultem to check it out in the future.

These were sold on January 22nd, 2022. I believe they are sold out everywhere. You might find some on ebay or something similar. They also don’t work too well as you can see from the video.

Good review. I love Big Idea products. I have the new Bit Bar 2. I don't see any use for the TPT slide. Seems like a waste of money. Wouldn't be my go to edc, seems like it would snag on things. I wanna get the Big Idea wrench next

Thank you. I did see that Bit Bar 2 and almost bought it. My wallet is still recovering from the end of 2022. The wrench looks cool too but I don’t run into bolts/nuts that much. I have been trying out a 4” Knipex Pliers that I carry in my pouch/bag that come in handy now and then.
