I've used boiled linseed oil for years on antique military firearms, so when I started working on guitars I used that as well. If you want to bring out the real natural beauty of wood and have a very long lasting finish, there's nothing better IMHO.

Howdy, I don’t know if you’re still reading these, but I just saw a video Miller Custom Guitars. He made one work pretty well. One of the things I would not have expected is the roller bridge needed work. The rollers did not roll freely without some tinkering. He added a string butler. He made sure the nut was smooth and clear of debris. He added some graphite to the nut. He made sure the post on the roller bridge did not move at all. He made sure the rollers were rolling freely. I think he also did a setup on it. Check it out if you want to give this a go again. Kudos. And thanks for sharing your experience.

I am doing a fully customizable Explorer guitar kit from Pango. I gave them a big list of wants, needs, and additions. Mine is also zebrawood. If you want to know these changes let me know and I can list them

That's unfortunate that it didn't work out for you. I installed one on my Starcaster and one on my Les Paul Special. Both are very stable even with dive bombs and fairly aggressive vibrato. I don't even have roller bridges. Maybe there are other undiagnosed issues at play?

How did this guitar turn out?

When you ordered it did you specify what fretboard radius you wanted. If not what radius did they send

What do you expect if you just slap it on there and do nothing else. Change the standard bridge or use graphite on the nut or ... do something !

I'm 9 years late, but I don't think anyone successfully used the secondary HDD bay next to the SD Card slot

I've got mine to work perfectly, I have a graph nut and grover locking tuners on my les paul. Everything was perfect until I wanted to gig with it. I can't close the lid of my guitar case with the Deusenberg trem on it. It sticks up miles. I managed it on my SG That fitted although a bit tight but no chance with my les Paul.

Mine works fine but I do have a roller bridge. I just wish it had the curly bar like Billy Duffy's black Gretch.

I can dive bomb mine on my Epiphone & it returns back to pitch perfectly, didn’t even change the bridge. Just filed & lubricated the nut & saddles. Any tuning instability is likely from these 2 points. Also using the top & under stringing method locks the string, especially on a 3 + 3 headstock.

Yeap, i think you should check your saddles, and also check your guitar nut, you should clean it, or use a sandpaper, then lubricate it, with a vaseline will works 😃

The graphtec bridge you installed looked a bit loose (3:31) with a fair bit of play forward-aft that will definitely give you tuning issues. Try a decent roller bridge but also make sure it’s rock solid.

Testing the surface of the paint proves nothing when it comes to shielding. The metal in the paint acts like a faraday cage regardless. It basically acts like a buffer to impede induction into the components from outside interference. A more accurate test would have been to do a before paint(the feedback at the beginning of the video), after paint, and after paint and copper feedback test.

Do you think that you could modify a guitar with a warparoud bridge to a Trem II? I mean buying a new bridge and the trem II.

First time I've seen anyone test the sound of a tuning machine by tapping it? I personally have no time for locking tuners or those silly Tremolo systems that require them. Nice content Andy always interesting to see what your working on.

Maybe buy a bridge with roller seats. I put a roller nut on my strat and it stays in tune. That spring must have a happy place and it's probably doing it's job if only one or two strings are hanging up.
