Isn’t that Larry Williams, not Scott Sharrard? I think Scott joined them later that year? (and is still with them, and is tremendous.)

What a great show. Mind you, I have never seen them perform anything BUT a great a show... I saw the original band in June 1976 at the Odeon in Birmingham (UK), still have vivid memories of that night; after the end of set they went off while we stomped for more and returned in their fine white hats for a mind-blowing encore. Sadly, for one reason or another, despite my best attempts and even an 'on the night' free ticket invitation to the Shepherds Bush Empire in 1995, I couldn't get to any of their rare London shows until, finally, I saw them again in Islington in 2012. Much love to all connected to the Feat, and a huge thank you, Jim, for posting up this show. I have had a VERY pleasant afternoon today sipping Bailey's and enjoying this fine, fine band. 💝 💖 💗 💖 💝

Pretty great. Phil has just got to lose that stupid beard, though.

I've been listening to Tommy for 50 years since he used to jam at pubs in Sydney with Phil. Tommy is incredibly good at technique and interpretation, but has developed more in his latter years a really annoying habit of seriously disjointing a song by showing off silly stuff. It's really quite pointless and takes away from his brilliant musical flow and destroy truly beautiful songs. He once admitted that his cocaine addiction had "left his brain like Swiss cheese". Maybe that explains it. He used to freely admit that his voice was shit and should not be heard outside of his shower. I wish he had stuck with that resolution.

What ya mean by tough crowd is that they didn't appreciate his set as much as you did. Maybe they don't enjoy so much his antics, and came for serious focussed guitar work.

A true American Classic! My favorite! Blasters Forever!
When I saw them in Saint Louis I was impressed by their chemistry and told them so after the show. I said "I don't know if its real, but I love the feeling of love between you as you perform," to which Teresa responded instantly "Oh it's real." I just love that.

I’ve seen them many times as well as Tommy many times and saw them all together recently in Saint Paul. Larry and Teresa used to be with Red House Records when they were in Saint Paul before they sold out to the Nashville conglomerate. I probably saw 20 Dylan shows when Larry was with him. Such great people and musicians.

Very nice. I started listening to the Blasters in 81. Was looking around at the record store and saw the cover of the album. Saw Phil’s face on it. I said I have to give these guys a listen too. Still love these guys.
